What bugs me is the usage of "killed". The track or the collision and injuries killed them, that's kind of obvious. But it should be reserved for things akin to murder whereupon it is a choice of a third party and not the byproduct of an accident.

Kill is a verb, who is doing the killing?

And not just a club racer, but literally the slowest formula car known to man.
