I think it was the OC Register that addressed this a few days back. Kenley Jansen had some interesting quotes, saying that Puig is a very different person now as opposed to then. Jansen, IIRC, put even more stress on the clubhouse itself, saying a few years ago it was 25 very different guys that happened to be playing

“It’s a reflection of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization...”

The US withdrawing from Vietnam and the moon landing.

God but Mike Tyson was a force of nature when he was at his best. The most devastating puncher in the history of the division and (again, at his best) technically sound. But Ali before he got suspended was just a perfect boxer. It’s hard to overstate just how incredible he was before he got his belt taken away.

I saw the game. He’s talking about when Chad Marshall took a ball to the face and play had to be stopped about ten seconds later to check on him. That *has* to the play he’s talking about. As for a Portland PK on the play, fuck if I know.

Fuck, you are so right dude! Shoulda run Ajamu Baraka.

Next time, just type “Bernie would’ve won” and save yourself the arrogant, nonsensical claptrap. Like suggesting Dems don’t prioritize working class people. Like suggesting spending money in the GA-06 was a ‘waste’ when they came thisclose to winning. And for fucks sake, stop whining about how people blame you for

I can’t wait for Sanders supporters to blame this on not running a more progressive candidate in the Georgia fucking 6th.

    H/t Seth McFarlane’s twitter.

I’m really glad you brought up that anecdote but the actual conversation with Dr. Toffel is even more dramatic. Tomjanovich, in the hospital after the punch, is asking if he can play the next day. From the book:

    An extraordinarily well-written article.

Because one of the teams was already relegated and both games didn’t matter?

Whatever happened to the rambling freaks of nature who swore up and down on these very boards that they would never, *ever* pull the lever for Hillary because their vote was precious and they just couldn’t bear to give it over to corporatist warmonger (or something)?

See Hathaway, Anne for how this is going to end up. Rich Juzwiak or someone on staff will get an interview about an upcoming album, there will be a self-absorbed, half-assed apology with the qualifier of that what was truly intended all along was (fill in the justification), how things weren’t meant to go as far as

Lou Cannon was researching a book—I think it was Official Negligence—and said he heard over and over again, from people in the city, serving in city government and in the police department, that you cannot tell the story of Los Angeles without talking about Latasha Harlins.

    500 goals. Goddamn.

The Chicago Tribune’s Twitter is... strong.

    The mic, it is dropped.

Honestly fuck whoever took a creepshot of them in a restaurant.
