8.) Car Of The Year Awards Are Rigged

On this day in 1966, Ralph Nader, a young lawyer and the author of the groundbreaking book "Unsafe at Any Speed: The Designed-In Dangers of the American Automobile," testifies before Congress for the first time about unsafe practices in the auto industry.

I think Cadillac just needs to look back at how much they have accomplished so far and be thankful for that. No, they shouldn't rest on their laurels, but I think they're getting a little too uptight about sales figures. They're a luxury brand trying to sell cars in a recession- obviously, sales are going to be down

When I click on stories like this and read that paparazzi are involved, I get a sharp twinge of guilt for reading sites like this one that create demand and value around dangerous invasions of privacy.

yep.

This is a Dodge Charger, a front wheel drive four cylinder Charger.

I owned a very nice, low mileage '79 300TD. The idea that it is more reliable and easier to maintain than something like a modern Toyota is frankly laughable. They are well built cars, and they should be, they cost an absolute fortune new. But they are also maintenance intensive to keep them running properly, and if

Im not surprised Tacoma sales are better. People dont buy Toyotas because theyre better than anything they compete against, they buy Toyotas because theyre too stupid to cross shop. Theyre the kind of people who think "grounded to the ground" is an acceptable statement.

My favorite blind spot monitoring system.

That's what everyone comparing the Charger R/T and SS is missing. The correct compare is the SRT Charger and SS. Having driven multiple Charger R/Ts, they're great cars for what they are, but a bone stock one doesn't hold a candle against the SS, and drives like a land barge in comparison. Kudos to FCA though for

Call me weird but I always thought these were cool.

It's the Cadillac of mini vans.

I get really excited whenever I see one of these

I'm confused why everyone gets upset when techs take your cars out. We just got working on your shitty car, for shitty, pay, so we are going to put our oil slicked and beer piss clothes all over your seats, then hoon the crap out of it for a few miles.

Is this commentor on the forum on Jalopnik as well, or is anybody on that forum? I work at a GM dealership by Avalon, get in touch with us, we'll see what we can do for him.

Can it be used? If so,....
