And we can keep pressure on her throughout her presidency to come through with her campaign promises.
I was there! It was a standard sparrow, and it was adorable, and I keep accidentally saying Birdie Sanders since.
I think the reason for this is because the values of HRC supporters tend to overlap with Bernie Sanders, but not the other way around. The problems most HRC supporters have with Sanders are not ideological, and tend to center around either his ideas being unrealistic, or that they think Clinton has a better shot at…
To be fair, being allowed to vote at all is a privilege in a country where there are millions of citizens who have been deliberately disenfranchised by putting them into for-profit prisons.
You have to have a pretty hard heart to dislike this. The long version of the video is even better:
Apparently choosing to not vote for a candidate that doesn’t represent ones’ interests is now a privilege.
Yeah, I think it was in the fall, but I didn’t make it to that one either. I totally feel you though! I did the drive to Bend and back alone once and I’m not looking forward to doing it again. I hear great things about Eugene though!
Choosing not to support someone isn’t the same as supporting that same person.
My brother inspired me by going to one in Ohio, so I’m glad we got in, the lines were huge! I know a lot of people were in from Washington, which caucuses tomorrow, so hopefully it was motivating. I know who I’ll be voting for in our primary!
Thats great people came from all over!!! I’m so glad he came back to Oregon - he was here last fall, right? I missed that one too. Shit. I suck LOL Eugene is like, juuuuust far enough for me to not want to drive 2+ hours to anything. :(
Oh no, I’m sorry you missed it! If its online, I would recommend watching it, there was really great energy in the room. I heard a few other people mention being here from Eugene too, I was so happy to hear that people were coming in from all over!
this is America, you always have to choose between the lesser of evils
if a bird likes you, your favorability ratings are net positive.
the fact that “BirdieSanders” is trending at #1 on Twitter right now is honestly restoring my faith in humanity a little bit...
That’s so awesome! I tried to go to a rally he did here in Chicago but the turnout was so huge I couldn’t even get in. :( I’d hoped the encouraging turnout would ensure a win for the IL primary the next day but alas, Hillary won (by a sliver). You all make sure you go out and vote for him tomorrow!!!!
Birdie Bros.
By the tenets of bird law, I’m pretty sure that makes Bernie the Democratic nominee.
I was there! We did lose our shit because it was so freaking adorable. The waiting for hours was a bummer, but overall, I enjoyed it and I’m glad I went.
BIRDIE SANDERS.
