Does anyone here get that this is a spoof of police procedurals? Not a documentary.

That’s why it’s called The Gilded Age. Gilding is putting a fake veneer on something to make it look better. 

“The Gilded Age: A Tale of Today” was the title of a book written by Mark Twain & Mark Dudley Warner.

The studio also wanted the story set in the 70s so they wouldn’t have to pay for vintage cars. And Brando was a no go because he was such an insurance risk.

Yeah wasn’t it Lord Grantham’s wife on Downton Abbey that saved his estate with her filthy “new” money?

Well then my advice to you is don’t watch it. 

I don’t even look at it as rich people problems. This is a part of the history of this country, that prejudice rears its ugly head no matter what.

I don’t mind so much that Miranda left Steve, it’s that the writers give Steve no agency over his own life and have turned him into a doddering fool.

It was on display in Indianapolis. He would come to Colts Kick Off luncheons, I attended a couple, and he was very funny in the one on one interview. Once he had made a video featuring other players and himself, they had formed a grunge garage band.  It was very funny. 

Funny, I met him once in line at the grocery store his rookie year in Indianapolis, he lived near my apt complex. He was very nice. I know people who have had longer interactions with him, and said the same.

It depends, you might get one every six months or so til your mid 50s. I can’t remember when I completely stopped, but I think it was around 55. You keep tampons around just in case, usually if you go a year, you know you’re done.
