Agree. I don’t know if Sorkin has ever gotten over his misogynistic tendencies when it comes to women. Like or hate The West Wing Sorkin years vs after he left, but the female characters are not just there to make the men feel smart once he leaves . 

I watched about 40 min of the movie this morning.

I watched this cold open with Elsa last night. I guess it’s a flash forward or something, because her parents are nowhere around and I couldn’t figure out why she’d be all alone save a few others from the wagon train. It’s very violent and the conversation she has with a NA warrior is weird to say the least.

This isn’t a comedy, tho. It’s about a week during production of the show, when the Committee on UnAmerican Activities named Lucy a communist.

I feel the same, it’s been a fun-ish hate watch.

I’m in Indiana and we’ve had two break through cases at my office after getting thru 2020 and most of 2021 with no cases of Covid at all.

Well I certainly feel owned. 

MSNBC was talking more about SNL not doing a regular show than it was about Manchin. 

I don’t understand why they didn’t just rerun a collection of old Christmas themed skits from past years.  Why even bother doing a show when there is no cast.  

Those two lines infuriated me.

The whole “Sam is mad at me because of podcasts or blogs” or whatever it was bullshit is just a tacky dig at Kim. Samantha was able to promote Smith from a waiter to a huge star, she was one of the best in the business, and she didn’t realize the PR world was changing?

I’ve listened to two podcasts, The DropOut, and Bad Blood, and from what I can remember it was an idea she chased. She claims it was because she lost a beloved uncle to cancer, it came on very quickly and he died. She wanted to invent a machine that could tell you about any illnesses you might be susceptible to, or…

And you have to mix the blood with a re active agent and there isn’t enough blood to do the mix correctly. 

She got that fake it til you make it stuff from Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle.

As a non medical person, every time I hear Holmes or someone on the podcast talk about how this machine would work, re hundreds of blood tests from a couple drops of blood, my head explodes.

That’s my concern. Can she pull off the voice changes. I love the people in the podcast who knew her pre Theranos and said the voice was bullshit.
