I have to jump in here because a lot of commenters seem to be confused about the difference between a union, a guild and a trade association. Unions are for employees. It is unlikely that YouTubers or Twitch streamers will ever be employees of the platforms they license their content to. I address that in the article.

The game already had micro-transactions. All this is doing is opening up things they you wouldn’t be able to get normally without paying. It’s a win for the players.

I love the "Battle Results" song in FFXIII. It sounds particularly good on headphones (and with the real track, not youtube). Easily my favorite victory track in the series.
