Personally, I can’t think of anything less meaningful, less special and less memorable than approaching the most important moments of your life in the exact same way as everybody else. If Overwatch is a game that both of them truly love, why is integrating it into their proposal worse than say... popping the question

While the classic games are the best (followed closely by Capcom’s new direction with RE7 and RE2 Remake), I’m going to have to agree. RE4, 5 and 6 were all poor Resident Evil games, but great action titles, and RE6 is my favorite of the trio because of all the fun I had playing it co-op.

You could show the exact same scene on network TV and no one would bat an eye.

I’m talking about in relation to the Tyrant in RE2 remake. People compare him to the Nemesis, but speed and relentlessness is what’s going to differentiate the latter in the RE3 remake.

I can see them speeding up the Nemesis, and also giving the player a dash or dodge mechanic to compensate for it. Wouldn’t mind seeing the Nemesis burst into a save room too, just to mix things up even more.

I don’t exactly want to go back to those days when even major, quality titles weren’t guaranteed for a Western release, but there was something nostalgic about flipping through those mail order catalogs. It was mind-blowing to think that an entire, bigger world of gaming existed, hidden outside our borders.

A bunch of people who don’t play or like video games set out to make a movie based on one. Despite not having a shred of understanding as to what makes the source material appealing, they thought they could do better. Happens with pretty much every video game movie.

Normally I’d be right there with you, but it’s finished and out. Nothing anyone can do to stop it now. This is the proper time to start posting articles about fan projects; not years before they even release.

It’s not like that extra 8.3 million would have resulted in better pay, hours and working conditions for the people manning the registers and flipping the burgers. Anyone with enough rank to really care about those numbers is barely going to be affected by this mistake.

I interpreted it as a way to lean in closer to the person she loves, while still maintaining some distance, since it’s a formal occasion. Or it could be a personal quirk. I know I have one default pose that I do subconsciously whenever I’m getting my picture taken.

I don’t play the game, so I can’t say for sure, but the last time this story showed up, more knowledgeable commenters mentioned that it has a pretty big following of female players. As far as these games go, it seems like the sort that would have a pretty decent mix.

I was going to say we never see anything cool like that over here, but yeah... on second thought, that would probably be a bad idea.

I get what you’re saying. But I look at it the same way I do with Persona 4 and the fighting/dancing/dungeon crawling games. I can partition off the main game in my head and enjoy the rest as comfort food.

There is a definitive edition of the second one! I believe it’s called “Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration”, and it’s pretty much exactly how you described it. Solid game, but not as cool as the first one. It should be fairly cheap these days anyways.

I get what you’re trying to say. It’s a deeply uncomfortable and awkward experience, especially when there’s little common ground there.

Is that a list of non-open world superhero games? I’ve never played any of them.

I honestly can’t remember the last superhero game I played that wasn’t open world. Which basically amounts to the Arkham games and Spider-Man, but a linear experience just doesn’t seem very appealing to me.

We’re going to have to agree to disagree on some stuff, for sure. I will say that what’s considered “messed up” is highly subjective. For some people, anything more than vanilla, missionary sex is highly offensive. Where I’m sitting on the scale, I can think of a handful of things besides kids/animals that I’d

Thank you for saying this. I normally like Kate’s work, but there are thousands of places on the internet where you can go to point and laugh at a stranger for having different tastes (and it’s basically bullying). Folks would rather make assumptions and predictions about these people instead of just... asking them

That was several years ago, and believe me, I was happy at the time. But things have changed a LOT since then, and will change even more over the next few hardware generations.
