Yeah, some people don’t experience it all. But most people require very specific sounds to trigger it, and there are hundreds of different sounds that could possibly do it. Videos like this do nothing for me either, personally.

Thanks for the comprehensive response. I’m 100% aware that I’m arguing for a lofty ideal here, so I’m not sure we’ll ever see eye to eye on this, but I appreciate that you took the time to type that all out.
Let me address your extreme example with another extreme example. Should a youtuber known for exposing the wrongdoings of corporations only say glowing things about them, because saying something that a businessman doesn’t like would guarantee that he can’t make a living doing what he’s doing?
Throwing up your hands and going, “Oh well, it sucks that big companies control everything, but that’s a fact of life,” is a guaranteed way to make sure that nothing ever gets better.
Well, a lot of the youtubers in question want to do what they love and make a living while doing it, just like you. I don’t think that’s stupid at all. You might be okay with reeling in your artistic vision to make a company happy, and if that’s the case, fine (though I feel a little sorry for you all the same). But I…
Destroying somebody’s ability to make a living through their craft or putting their messages out there has a similar effect to blocking them outright. If a person has to work 40+ hours a week at a day job, that leaves them significantly less time to devote to their art. Not being able to make money from their art…
Hey, don’t get me wrong, I’m jealous too. I wish I could make a living posting videos of me playing video games or eating pizza or whatever. But I’m not jealous enough to prioritize the interest of big, out-of-touch companies over the ability of creative people to make a living doing exactly what they love. Just…
They’re at risk of not being able to produce content because producing content of any quality, on a regular basis, requires time and other resources to produce. Anyone interested in making a living through entertainment will find it much harder to dedicate themselves to their craft if they have to spent 40+ hours a…
You’re absolutely right. Only companies and businessmen should be allowed to put messages out there and get paid for it, to boot.
There’s a special currency, which you can use to buy golden weapons. You also receive special sprays and player icons for completing your placement matches, and a subset of top players get an exclusive spray. That’s all I know of, unless they added something for season 2.
The thing advertisers don’t realize is that nobody in their right mind associates the ad (which gets skipped anyways), with the content that comes after it. “I -used- to eat KFC, but then somebody in a video said a curse, and now I don’t go there anymore.”
So... they should sell out, then? As a grown adult that appreciates entertainment created for grown adults, I’m not okay with this either.
While I totally agree that clever people can be incredibly funny without resorting to swearing, the issue here is much, much bigger than foul language. For example, it doesn’t matter how professionally you criticize a company, the company can still go after your channel under the current rules. And youtube has a…
You’re making the same tired argument that comes up every single time there’s an article about censorship. Call it whatever pedantic term you want, but creative people are being forced to alter and compromise their work, or they run the very real risk of not being able to produce anything at all.
It’s definitely rare for me. But if I stumble into a battle unprepared and things get hairy, I’d sooner flee than lose significant progress.
That’s the cool thing about games like this. People don’t really play them for the base titillation, especially when you can get all the porn you want, tailored to your fetish of choice, with a simple google search.
I’m really late to the party, but I plan on wrapping up the original Borderlands and its accompanying DLC this weekend, before Attack on Titan hits.
I’m kind of fascinated by the concept of Summer as a spooky time of year, mostly because we don’t have that here in the United States, outside of a few campfire stories. I’ll have to give this show a watch, I think.
I find happy-go-lucky stories where hardly anything bad happens and the heroes always save the day in the end to be kinda’ boring. Tragedy breeds drama, which is way more interesting to me.
Seriously. Capcom has created so many great IPs over the years that sit around, going unused. It’s hard to imagine that once upon a time, the same company pumped out crazy, brand-new ideas like it didn’t have a care in the world.
