I’ve given up on trying to understand rich people. They’re like a whole different species at this point.

Interesting! I actually had Highschool of the Dead in mind as a great example of this stuff done right.
I hear ya’. I’m all for fanservice, but I’d rather see it attached to a story that doesn’t come across so cliched and dull. That’s the worse sin right there.
It’s murky because there are multiple parties involved. Speaking as a creator myself, I’m pretty confident that all of the creative talent behind this game would have rather left the original content intact for an international release.
I’ll probably play my ten qualifying matches for the little participation rewards, and then never touch competitive mode again.
Thank you for writing another well-researched and respectful article. You’ve been tackling some difficult subject matter lately. It feels like when most writers approach the same stuff, they’re dragging it out of the darkness for people to point and laugh at, with a judgemental tone. I don’t get that impression at all…
I’d like to think that people don’t find the subject matter itself arousing, so much as the taboo nature of it. The thrill of looking at something that you shouldn’t be looking at can be extremely exciting for some people.
A person’s identity is a complicated thing. You can love your country, but still hate any or all of the crap that comes out of your politician’s mouths. Don’t need to be Russian or gay to feel that way.
This sounds like nothing more than a huge scam. Even after reading the section twice, I just can’t wrap my head around the appeal.
Guy chiming in. I’m totally fine with this.
See, I guess that’s where our interpretations differ. You think they left because they couldn’t stand being beat by a woman, I think they were so convinced she was cheating that they made (and lost) a stupid wager and held up their end of the bargain.
Considering how frequently I’ve read about professional gamers getting caught using cheats and hacks lately, I’d say it never hurts to be skeptical. But I don’t follow the competitive Overwatch scene in Korea enough to know if these guys give all the male cheaters a pass and focus solely on the women, or what. I see…
I actually have to give them some respect. A lot of people would backpedal and try to weasel their way out of it, but when the official word came from Blizzard, they kept their promises.
It shouldn’t have taken three years to settle this. The fact that it did is appalling.
I think it’s kind of awesome that the two biggest icons in Japanese horror are women. Over here in the West, we got... what? I’m trying to think of a female horror baddie, and coming up blank. At least, I can’t think of one that’s been in as many movies as those ghost girls.
If China wanted to make a One Piece movie, I’m sure they wouldn’t mess around with buying the rights and all that other copyright nonsense.
Seriously. Even if it’s some purely optional toggle, and doesn’t apply to competitive play, I’d like to be able to group up with my PC friends. My computer is on its last legs, and I don’t think it’ll run the game very well.
Remember those old, scrapped versions of Resident Evil 4? Where it looked like there was actual paranormal stuff, and not just mutants. This demo kind of slightly reminds me of that.
I bet the cops would still shoot you if you answered the door holding one of those.
I have no idea what this is, but I want it.
