Yup but if you leave that window up with the targa off you end up with a tornado over top of the center console.  On the Del Sol it was 100% mandatory to have the roll down back window for the design to work

My 06 Tundra didn’t, and neither have the Sequoias I’ve driven with this feature.  I think it’s high enough up that exhaust is a non-issue

as does the Sequoia

Toyota has been doing this for years on the 4Runner, Tundra, and Sequoia. Doug Demuro basically wrote this same article a year and a half ago.

In Beverly Hills, it seems like a Camry would stand out more than a Lamborghini, and with $130k to spend, stand-out new cars are out of the question, and used models in that price range will be obviously previous-generation.

This isn’t a first for GM.  I had a 1995 Pontiac Firebird with the 3.4 V6, and the V8 models were rated for higher fuel economy.  In real-world applications, the V8 did better than rated, and the V6 was worse.  The underpowered base engine just has to work too hard to move a heavy vehicle and fuel economy suffers

By glorious you meant hideous, right?

Both are wrong. These are right

This is another bit of confirmation for my belief that unions have outlived their usefulness in most industries and have become corrupt racketeering organizations that are a cancer on industry and blue collar workers. They steal money from workers and then favor the companies who bribe them with shiny things.

Parallel twin.  Inline-two sounds silly

Lift off the throttle and let the back swing around.  Lift-off oversteer can be a blast, but it works best with FWD and front-biased AWD cars

OR BETTER YET: Why can’t they seem to integrate the touchscreen into the dash, instead of making it look like someone just stuck an iPad on top of the dash where the clock used to be

What in the world did you need to haul 110 pizzas at one time for?  Maybe Domino’s should replace the oven-mobiles with Rav4's

Wen I was younger, I refused to make a payment and thought daily driving an old, dirt cheap project car was a great idea. I was constantly driving a car to work that was “together enough” to drive, and working late into the night to do something to it and slap it back together enough to drive to work.

I may have been binge-watching Ammo NYC videos a little too much lately, but that paint needs some work. They need a visit from Larry and his Rupes polisher and dose of M205, and some Ammo Creme

As someone who worked in parts, repair, and sales of cars, when I needed a cheap tow rig, the GMT800 platform was the only thing I even considered for this exact reason.  I can’t name any other trucks/SUVs that are more durable, reliable, and cheap to maintain/repair than them.

The Rav4 would be an awfully cramped ride for a 4-5 hour drive to the mountain with 4-5 skiers plus gear.  The skis can go on the roof, but the boots, jackets, ski pants, any luggage for overnight stays, etc. all takes up a lot of space.

True, although the space for skiers, gear, coolers, etc. is very nice to have, and the 4wd will be very helpful for beating the plows up to the mountain when fresh powder drops.  Plus, it will have the grunt to pull other drivers out of ditches along the way

I second the GMT800 Suburban. I bought one recently for $2000 to tow my boat. It’s ugly and rusty, but it runs well, 4wd works (crucial for steep launch ramps) and it gets as good of fuel economy towing my 6,000lb boat and trailer as my currently-incapacitated LX450 does unladen.  Once I get the LX back running, I may
