I’d like to see Alexander Siddig as either Bond or as The Doctor (once Capaldi leaves). He’s got the required suave look, has history of playing interesting characters from a variety of backgrounds, and could finally portray an older Bond who doesn’t look past it but does look experienced at the job (think early Roger

The Fifth element is a MASTERPIECE.

Sorry, but The Fifth Element and Starship Troopers knew exactly what they were doing and did it well. They are not examples of “so bad it’s good.”

Now playing

Well. This oughta slake your appetite until that gets made. Bonus: Linda Blair! =D

They can keep it running forever as far as I’m concerned. It’s one of my favorite shows. Even if it gets cut down to only a few episodes for a limited season, I’ll tune in.

... as opposed to shows that run for years and years and get bogged down by their own baggage.

All it really needs is one more season to wrap up the Hydra pin mystery and establish SHIELD.

Did you actually see Spy? I loved it specifically because it wasn’t fat jokes or self deprecation. The whole point of the movie was that she was the one that was the most capable, far more than Jude Law or Jason Statham. Everyone underestimated her, yeah, but she was the only competent one. It was so refreshing to see

I didn’t see Identity Thief, or the Hangover, but her characters in Bridesmaids, Spy, and The Heat were actually really competent and good at their jobs, and I don’t remember many of the jokes being about her weight. I loved Spy, especially. Her character was so badass.

Yeah, it sounds like you didn’t actually watch the movie. The point of it is that McCarthy’s character Susan is OVERqualified for the position but lets long-standing self-confidence issues get in the way. At one point, she slams a dude into the ground by throwing him using his jaw. Statham’s character is the bumbling

So basically just being fat on screen is a “fat joke” to you? You have a much different sense of humor than I do apparently

I cannot comprehend why this show is struggling with ratings. It’s like people don’t want nice things.

I recorded Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell when it aired and I watched the first couple of episodes, but honestly I was bored.

Nothing about Deadpool is subtle. Why would we expect his marketing to be any less?

I thought she was pretty great in Spy. There was less of her being dopey and more people just expecting that she was dopey based on her looks. When she actually got to kick ass she was fantastic. But yeah, here’s hoping she doesn’t have to rely on fat jokes and actually gets to have substance :)

The Core crash-landed a space shuttle by the bridge. Though I was going to rage-post about Buckaroo Banzai being overlooked, only to discover that those closing credits were not, in fact, at the 6th Street Bridge.

isn’t it obvious?
