Yeah, I heard such good things about it, but the best I can say is it's alright. It's not a bad movie but it's certainly not a great movie. It has some good performances and it's pretty brutal in a couple of places but that's about the best I can say. I bought it when it was going cheap on dvd and ended up giving it

The thing that bothers me about the Oscars costume award is they always got for something obviously elaborate and period. They never seem to realise there's just as much work in designing costume for something contemporary that uses everyday looking clothes that aren't, for lack of a better term, fancy dress.

She didn't sound too good at the start either. I'd never heard her sing live but I've always heard she's amazing. She can belt a fair bit but I expected better from a musical theatre singer. Maybe she was having a bad night? I suppose we don't know what complications she could've been dealing with. The slightest

True, I think there was a lot of fluffed names. In general I thought there was a lot of fluffed names actually... To the extent that I wondered if there was either technical problems or something happening backstage that freaked everyone out.

I would like to know why John Travolta thinks Idina Menzel is pronounced as... whatever he just said. "Adele Danzieeel" or something along those lines... I hope he said sorry to her.

And Jeff Wayne's album is still a far better adaptation of the book than either of Hollywood's attempts. I don't know why no one's made a Victorian-set movie of it.

I also didn't realise David Fincher had made all those videos. Not that I particularly follow his work, but still, that passed me by!

You can often rely on a Disney villain for some good headwear, I find.

I'm all for that, but then I'm not inclined to resign to maturity...

Thank you, I was looking for this!

It's so nice to see 9 people on here aren't judging me for my Xanadu obsession. Or at least are judging me in a supportive way! It's like a virtual pat on the head.

The only comic I own but I think Marvel should be proud of it. Proud, I say!

My flatmate and I (both in our mid 30s) were talking about how unexpectedly sad Up was when we first saw it (and then when we saw it the second time too). I had it recorded from last time it was on TV (I try to keep a selection of kids' films because I have a niece and friends with children) so we decided just to

My cats were all suckers for cardboard boxes too. I had one cat who could not resist a sheet of paper to sit on. You could drop a bit of A4 and before you knew it she was sitting on it giving you a "this is mine now, you can't have it back" look.

I didn't realise Outlander is as old as it is, actually. I was thinking Goodnight Sweetheart pre-dated it but as it turns out it doesn't!

That's a brilliant claim to fame!

Or...

I was pretty much the same. Got it as a Christmas present the year before last but just couldn't get into it at all. I found it dull but it's a pretty big book so it probably does get better at some point. I'd just lost interest quickly.
