I love that this is the "Hello, we are the Scottish io9ers" thread! (I'm a Glaswegian myself)

Well for me there is only...

The best but also the worse because MY EMOTIONS! Even the second time I watched it, when I was prepared and thinking "right I won't get emotional this tim-waaaaaaah!"

It's a wig made of her own hair, though!

I wouldn't particularly describe his accent as a "heavy brogue", but yes indeed one of them has an obvious Scottish accent.

My best mate still isn't over Rogue's treatment in the third film, he's very touchy about it all. He says "they took the most interesting X-Men character and made her stand in a queue for two hours!!".

When I first saw/read about this version I thought it would be terrible. Especially with Guy Richie directing.

I loved Buffy's Once More With Feeling. I thought it was very clever and funny and well-crafted. And it fitted in with the theme of the show... which can't really be said for a lot of other series which have musical episodes. That said, I really like a lot of musicals so perhaps that's why I enjoyed the Buffy one so

I kinda understand why they sold it as that, I guess - it's probably just an easier sell, certainly to younger audiences. The problem is it wasn't really selling to a YA audience (which would've been more suitable) so much as a young kids one. That's one of the problems with the (relatively) new 12A classification on

Yeah when I saw Ender's Game the first time the cinema was full of young boys and their (presumed) fathers. All younger than 12, I'd say. They looked excited and some were a bit restless and disruptive because it was a big epic space movie... and then fell silent during the more brutal parts (particularly Ender's

Smith's "Sandshoes and grandpa!" line really made me laugh. A nice nod to "The Legs, The Nose and Mrs. Robinson" which is one of my favourite-ever Doctor Who lines!

Yeah for a split second at that regeneration I thought perhaps he was going to make a tiny appearance. I though that he'd just maybe been persuaded to have make a wee cameo... But alas no.

I'm always impressed with the Animaniacs' take on biology...

Which, to be fair, is a pretty good contribution to anything...

Yeah, I know someone whose boyfriend planted a hidden camera in their flatmate's room so he could take photos of her naked. He wasn't selling or spreading the footage anywhere but that doesn't justify it in any way. Ok it was more than a "quick peek" but even if that's all it had been, he violated her.

Yeah I'm kinda in two minds. It might be interesting to see another adaptation of the book rather than just a straight remake of the 70s film (not that that version deviated massively from the book in the first place). I love Julianne Moore and although I'm not entirely sold on Chloe Moretz as Carrie visually, she's a

That IS great! Thanks for that, I've never seen or heard anything from the show although I've read about it.

Yup in the late 80s. There's an excellent book called "Not Since Carrie..." which is all about disastrous Broadway shows; that's how I found out about it, although I've never seen any footage before! I'm sure I read something about them attempting to revive it in the near future too.
