A friend of mine who works in finance described the situation to me thusly: a company can take on debt (even if they don’t actually need it) and use that money for general business expenses. These include things like paying dividends to investors. Because debt has certain tax advantages, they can make a savings on

I’m convinced that most major corporations are just a house of cards — nothing more than accounting tricks to keep their heads barely above water while the executives enrich themselves. Tap one little card at the bottom and everything comes crashing down, except for executive salaries of course. Gotta take care of

“...by which time, my house will hopefully be sold,...”

To me, it seems pretty fucked up that all of these large corporations run into difficulty so soon after a negative economic event(I claim rights to that term) that their existence becomes untenable.

In the midwest, 90% of people that drive trucks are still idiots

This you Cletus?

Yeah, he conveniently forgets that just yesterday he was threatening to withhold aid over the absentee ballot thing.

It means he can get in a dig at someone he hates.  If that fat fucking asshole can ever tweet something constructive I will probably die.  That orange stained asshole is the lowest form of life and anyone that still supports that fucking shit stain can fuck off forever.

If anyone doubts the power of a lot of water... It was making me nuts.. I looked at the street view and I couldn’t figure out where the beige building next to the fiero garage came from. Nowhere within visible range was there a building that looked like that. Messed around on google maps and I found it. Between the

Hi, apparently you’re unfamiliar with the fact that the vast majority of retail workers in all industries don’t really like their customers, usually for very good reason.

The problem there is the “many people actually use them to haul cargo and tools.” That’s the purpose of trucks; hauling cargo and tools, and for that purpose, they’re an appropriate tool. They are not, however, a substitute for “SUV’s and sedans.” Sedans, and SUV’s that are based on a car chassis, can handle well and

We get it. You don’t like trucks. In a little over a month, you have posted three articles implying trucks are terrible. Don’t buy one.

I’m not trashing “people who put food on your table”, It’s more about people having unrealistic expectations about purchasing trucks that get more expensive every year. GM is pushing their trucks, and besides the Corvette, pushing everyone else away to other brands.

1st: I work for a Chevy dealership, and leases are saving our asses when it comes to selling trucks. We advertise that we sell the most Silverados in our metro area, and it sure brings out the mouth breathing blue collar guys named Cletus who need a new truck for 400 a month(That’s hilarious!). It’s always a crew cab

Engine is almost entirely over the front axle, weight distribution must be way off, it putts out a lot of nasty smoke and does not run for long.

But it appears to be brown and a manual, so there’s that.

No less than $3,000 FRANCS..., I know what I got.

Oh balls! The first car was front engine, front wheel drive.
