The tariffs protect pricing for domestic steel manufacturers. So, by making the Chinese steel more expensive to purchase, it allows domestic manufacturers to raise their prices.

Yes but your original claim said anyone other than FCA dealers. You didn’t specify that they were the ones that damaged it. It is illegal to void a warranty just because someone else worked on it. That is still illegal. They cannot require you get your maintinence done at their dealers. If you push the issue and know the law they will yeild.

That is illegal in the US if true. FCA is not allowed to void the warranty if maintenance is not done at a dealer. The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act is the federal law that governs this.
