Quite typical drag race action.

I love F1 but I don't quite understand how it sits above top-level rallying as the lauded "pinnacle of motorsport". There's the bling and the glamour in Bernie's world but the skill and stakes in WRC have no equal.

"but given the Golf R stickers at bout $40,000"

I imagine if my insurance had a tracking device plugged into my OBDII port, they'd cancel my policy the first day. If I was having an off-day my premium might only go up about 1,000%.

7mph in one second is hard braking?

I would also like to point out that the inability to disable the ESP is ONLY for Golf Rs sold in the United States. The "defeat" using a VAGCOM is actually just recoding the ECU to match what the cars in Canada have (north american without idiot lawyers fucking everything up).

Damn looks like the whole chassis is twisting.

Why did Volkswagen make an ultimate performance version of the Golf, and make it impossible to turn the stability control off? Did VW think that nobody would take this hot hatch to the track?

It's happening . . .

how would swapping a 6-speed be dumb? That's actually pretty smart. But stretching tires is stupid. It completely negates the engineered qualities of the tires. You give up tire performance and ride characteristics for a questionable cosmetic look. It's dumb.

I'm sorry did somebody say something about Germans and their indulgent pricing?:

Why does it look like an F150?

Hi!

Are you doing this simply because the Z06 made a ZR-1 version obsolete?

Can't put my finger on it, but something's missing from that interior...

The friggin wheels are made out of carbon fiber! Not even Pagani does that!

This is copy-paste from another post in this thread, but I wanted to make sure you saw it, because there is potential benefit from multi-gearing an electric car. It may or may not be worth the packaging and weight impacts, but the benefit definitely exists, and for something like an electric truck would definitely be

Power = force * speed.
