Because they aren’t adding all the power at first. Power goes up with speed or until the tires can handle all of it. 0-60 is probably set right at street tire limits - which would be ideally managing slight slip but not full burnout. Soon after that I am sure there is room to add tons of power to keep the wheels at

Traction limitations at 10, 20, 30, even 50mph?  Maybe.   But as speed goes up, you can continue to pile the power on, so no.  This one might be getting close at sub 100 speeds though.

Depends what you mean by the test of time. Do they fit in ok now? Yes, but a lot of the over done design choices were copied and are everywhere now, which certainly helps that cause.

It’s so they can charge $$$$ more to fold the seat forward.   And maybe save a few grams, but likely not even that.

Just because he was copied, doesn’t mean he was right...

This, so much this.   This is precisely why Tesla’s “Autopilot” is completely asinine as it operates currently.

You forgot the potential for being served too much at a GOP fundraiser.

U-line is way expensive compared to Home Depot.

Stand your ground is a weak defense when he put himself in that situation and was the aggressor when he started pushing through them long before anyone did anything significant to the car.

More importantly, it’s long been the case that companies play on the ignorance of consumers to these laws. The whole mod your car and your warranty is completely void gets thrown around way too much.

Mostly because their headlights aren’t drilling a hole through my eyes via being rear view mirror height.

Hopefully Chevy skips the huge horsepower off roader that will likely never go off road trend and just put out an full time AWD drag racing truck.

The tire and the dash most likely came from the factory that way.

Speaking as someone who dealt with tires of this size for three decades, it seems to me that MOST tires had these types of issues. The high sidewall and lack of things like extra rubber for curb protection just mean you see everything really well - but you don’t really see it so much any more because even off road

Maybe I am wrong, but it seems to me that the use of the term crack pipe just meant obvious bad decisions. You might want it emotionally speaking, but it’s dumb as fuck all the same. Or for some you don’t even really want it, but you just need another go.

God bless Gordon Murray.

I’d argue that you will gain handling on the street, given the state of the average road these days.

You are right.  But please leave the stripper tits out of this mess.

If you gotta brand it, just put “ACME” on the weights.

I am not saying it doesn’t work, but I’d love to hear a technical explanation on this. It seems ass backwards, especially given the “light wheel” is normally the one in droop - which would be pulled UP by the sway.
