A little, but the joke immediately reminded me of how Stewart would do the same thing. Lead off with a horribly depressing topic, but then pivot to something lighter, like a blooper reel involving the Royal family or something.

Amazing how quick Colbert's show can go if you give yourself a 20 minute delay to skip the ads and if you don't have a strong interest in his final guest/musical performance.

I am not sure if I have been under a rock, but I completely forgot there was a premier even happening until right at 10:59. The media run up had been pretty light in my opinion. I thought it was pretty good and Noah seemed very comfortable. I really liked the subtle changes to the set, the audience reacted really

Yeah, sure. That guy.

Golden Age of TV, most definitely. But man, film has been getting a bad wrap. Granted his film is about 40+ yrs old, but that still does not warrant a remake. It's not like we are dealing with a 1930s film that would need an update, but Hollywood's reliance on remakes is insane. How about this—any film that wins

Have they no shame? This goes against the canon of one of Springfield's most recognizable characters. We all know the real deal with Waylon Smithers is that he's Mr. Burns's assistant. He's in his early 40s, is unmarried, and currently resides in Springfield.

Great find. Always enjoyed Dave's use of the telephone and he always reacted really well with people who were non-TV folks like his parents.

I thought Serial was great—it was a great extension of This American Life. You need to be in the mood to listen to TAL, in my opinion. I know they try to best and highlight diverse topics, but often it is hard for them coming off as white people talking about things tailored for white listeners to bring up in

My Fiance is listening to a shoot-off podcast (I think it is funded by his legal team) and I believe he is getting a retrial or something to that effect.

Smoking isn't cool, Kurt.

Except they are now kowtowing to him with a meeting with Ailes next week.

The 90s were such a blur. All I can remember is just eating too much garbage. I could never get my ass off the couch and hit the pavement. No doubt I will look back at these years with regret.

That is how addicted Americans are to sugar…they still buy her recipes despite the crazy shit she says.

This study is ridiculous: How could a syrup that contains CORN be bad for you? The science is all whack. My daily routine is a nice low-fat Eggo with sugar free Syrup, Subway for lunch (because you know, that guy Jared did ok eating those things) and a ready-to-eat Healthy Choice meal. Combine this with my weekend

Well, Gushers are considered fruit, right? I mean, I am sort of with Homer that in some instances "Purple is a fruit."

Can you edit your comment to include the Amy Fisher trial?

This one, too actually.

I just had to go back and re-watch the one you were referring to, and yes, I agree.

No Elephant Show, no dice.

Agreed. Unfortunately, AIDS garners more outrage than poor people in the 3rd world. Again, WHO reports almost half the world's population is at risk for malaria and yet this is what he does. The only reason why I have .0000000000001 of an emotion for this guy is because we know there are hundreds more like him that
