Thanks. Yeah, I think Mario Maker is going to be an instant purchase for me. Looks like a ton of fun.

I still have a framed promo photo signed by Folds for RTS. Still eerie to look at it and see the Sept. 11 date. Dylan's Love and Theft came out that day too. That's basically my 9-11 story—went off HS campus to go buy those albums at the local Coconuts (though it might still have been Blockbuster Music.)
Done. Even kicked in for the expedited shipping to enjoy it for the weekend. God bless you all anonymous avatars of the AV Club.
@disqus_O9CsmwQErc:disqus Thanks for the confidence boost. Just hard to spend money on an older system. I loved having a Wii and Wii U around for a while and I just miss so many of the games, and the other random ones like Rhythm Alien. So, I think I will split the difference and get a Refurb from Nintendo. …
And that Windwaker relaunch….
Thanks. Looking to build a PC this winter for Steam, but nothing beats having a Wii on hand for a rainy Saturdays or when you're snowed in. :)
The recent SMB games have been loads of fun. Yeah, some of the path is a little worn, but always worth it in the end.
Off topic, but need some help AV Club Commenters, this article has sealed the deal for me. I have lived long enough w/o a Nintendo system. Ever since I swapped a roommate for a fiance, I've been w/o a Wii U. So, the fiance said to me we should just go out and get one—she likes Nintendo as well. With Nintendo NX…
For whatever reason SM3 has the most anxiety moments for me. That big fish that swallows you whole in the water world, inexplicable underwater ghost coffin things? Level 5 has the Tower Level where nothing really happens…like at all. But you sort of just pass through, definitely a WTF. Miniature clams, candle…
High Fidelity is only good in my head because I have not watched since I was 22, ten years later I would be afraid that it would just be cringeworthy.
"Live's original lead singer Ed Kowalczyk left the band in November 2009." So you were right. If anything could turn me off from being involved in politics, it could very well have been hearing "Throwing Copper" in the background while you asked people sign up for your mailing list.
I was only there to work a political booth, but they played my hometown in 2008—-actually, it was a Live and Collective Soul Show. But, maybe something happened since then…I never bothered to even check to see if it was the original members of Live or if it was a "Smashing Pumpkins" type deal.
Thanks for the review, but they dropped the ball by not getting Live or Collective Soul. They could have made that happen. And what, was Matt Pinfield unavailable to relieve Pauly? I would have packed my bag full of gushers and spiked some squeeze-its and had a good day…maybe next year.
Yes, not with the olive branch, but the bayonet.

Don't forget John Lydon. To be fair, Snyder went off air when I was barely 16. I did try to watch him a few times.
Actually thought of one tonight going through my DVR: I thought for a long time that George C. Scott did in fact voice the Football in a Groin bit on the Simpsons. I used to tell people that not only was he just so amazing in Patton and in Strangelove but c'mon he even lent his voice for a quick Simpsons bit. Looking…
I am not saying he was talking to the head of P&G every night, but Stewart always had more authors than Colbert. At least on the Report, I remember him interviewing Bezos, Air BnB dude, Musk, the guys from Snapchat, Biz Stone, the dude from wikipedia. I am sure I am missing a lot, but he did do a ton.
For sure, but you only get one premier week with these ratings, etc. He had to make the most of it and has. Although, I think Jeb! the first night in 2nd position was a mistake. Colbert booked two headliners—would have been better to have Jeb! and maybe Louis CK as 2nd guest. Sorry George Clooney, but that…
I say CEO/Policy Wonks because Colbert would often interview CEOs who held strong policy stances—i.e he had both Uber CEO and Musk on this week. Both I would say have policy implications.
