I’m really impressed with these developers. Most spiders can’t even code.

...Why have you forced me to realize that that’s the only thing I ever could have wanted?

The problem isn’t so much they didn’t show anything new and more that they spent a full month hyping their presser to THEN show nothing new. They built up everybody’s expectations and then punched all those expectation in the face.

Okay, but like, attendance isn’t mandatory. They could have easily not done a big thing, and saved people’s expectations. As Jason said, this is their first big press event at E3 in three years, so they made a conscious decision to make a huge deal out of their presence this year, and then didn’t have shit to present.

Is it? I don’t think it’s hard to acknowledge that game development is extremely hard while also criticizing shitty marketing and hype.

Yes. I think middle-aged people (like me) may have a better perspective on what things were really like in the ’60s and ’70s. If it got out that a gay man was working on a children’s show, that would have been a huge scandal and there’s no doubt the show would have been shut down immediately. To Rogers, the show was a

Yes, this exactly. I don’t see these “cracks”. Especially with this quote from Mr. Rogers about Clemmons, “Many of the wrong people will get the worst idea, and we don’t want them thinking and talking about you like that.” i.e., many folks would call Clemmons a pedophile just because he was gay. It really seems like

But still, it illustrates the finite nature of Mr. Rogers’s ideals. “I like you just the way you are,” he often said, but in the case of Clemmons there was a caveat: “...I just need you to show less of the way you are.” This information through the lens of contemporary culture, in which an employer legislating what

Lol did you even read the article? He literally put a quote from Fred Rogers in there that says exactly what you’re talking about, how the show would lose it’s sponsors and be cancelled. There’s a second paragraph where Rich talks about how an out gay man never would have been able to sustain a career in show business

Who the fuck is cannonozing him?

This is fucking me up so hard. I loved that guy. He was a big reason why I wanted to go to culinary school. And he sure as shit was right about that life. I didn’t last long but it was fun while I was in it.

I know that many aren’t really fans here, but I loved Anthony Bourdain. I read his book many years ago and related to him so deeply. A person that also struggled with drugs and depression. This makes me really sad.

Not the OP, obviously, but I really enjoyed Vermintide.

Announces birth most people weren’t even thinking about...asks for people to “respect their privacy.” Sigh...

Much more difficult to write about something you feel indifferent towards than something you love or hate, so that may well be what he had to do.

I haven’t seen O8, but the premise here sounds awful. Why a diamond heist? Where are they going to sell a $150m necklace? They prob wouldn’t net half that. In O11, the guys walked away with giant duffel bags of cash. Leave it to Hollywood to have to women getting paid much less than their male peers.

The review itself is so much more damning than the C.

So it’s going to be even worse than a C movie?

22% for drinks without food? Fuck that. 13% was reasonable, even with attentive service.

Can we just drop tipping and make restaurant owners pay their employees a living wage? Build it into the price of the menu items. When people no longer show up because their Olive Garden meal costs too much then we can adjust or eat at home. Tipping that is expected is a ridiculous model.
