The Memory of Sky, by Robert Reed. The third Greatship book, one that is so far removed from the others (thus far, about halfway into it) to almost qualify as a different universe entirely, except for the presence of one member from an alien race that appears in the Greatship setting.
Searching as I do from time to time through the video game crossover wonderland that is FanFiction.net, I happened to turn off the mature story filter for a split-second, during which I encountered the raunchiest, steamiest Shadow the Hedgehog-meets-Borderlands story I've ever read.
Works for me.

Wow. I live very close to a Japanese community, and interact pretty regularly with a number of half-Japanese people. At a glance I wouldn't have even guessed she had Japanese ancestry, let alone a Japanese mother. I'd be interested in seeing what her father looks like, maybe his traits are just super dominant.
