I didn't get that impression at all, but I can see that if this is what I understood the policy to be, this post would be confusing.

What is the hypocrisy? Did you think the objections to the gifs is that they were naked people?
I'm truly confused as to your objection. Are you arguing that after complaining about the gifs, the Jezebel team shouldn't then post pornographic cartoons because they objected to some pornographic images?
Why shouldn't there be an acceptable pornography?
This isn't terrible, but the visual is as awesome as you could imagine.
It is officially blocked, but there is a widely available pirate route Iranians frequently use to access Twitter.
I respect that this is your experience. What I'm saying is that there are reasons wholly separate from body or sex shaming to object to receiving this magazine. I endorse and can't really improve on annkatherine's comment.
I'm not sure the cover of a men's magazine is the place where I think my future hypothetical kids will get healthy attitudes about sex. There is an anti-sex objection to these covers, but that doesn't mean that all sexually suggestive material is liberating or healthy.
As a size 6, 5'7", I want to slap him on your behalf.
Exactly.
I'm with you; it isn't offensive the way that catcalling is, but it is off-putting in a way that a statement like, "nice shirt" wouldn't be. I think I would chalk it up to weariness from constant sexualization. It would just be nice to spend time in non-sexualized places just buying kale or getting an oil change, or…
Agreed on LJG (will now adopt your excellent naming convention).
I actually gasped. You're right! I'm going to re-watch the pilot, and keep my eyes open for a young scamp.
I've been wondering the same about That Scene.
Have you finished the newest book? Still working on it, but SPOILER conversation if you have not.
Yes, there parts of the characters' actions and reactions that are homophobic, and sexist, and un-democratic, etc., because the characters of that time would often be those things.
As an avid reader (finishing the newest novel now), I was happy with the pilot, but I totally recognize that it was a slow start.
I am going to bite the bullet and sign up. If a person can afford (which I'm blessed to be able to do) they should put their money where their mouth is and financially support good work.
Thanks, I was thinking the same thing, though at least in the West Coast broadcast about 8 am here they carefully pointed out that they were reporting what the police said.
This law would not change criminal law in California.
