Came to post this, star for you good sir.
Knowing Alberta like I do, probably. I’m pretty sure the conversation would have went something like this:
“Um, Steve, have you looked at it from this angle?”
”Fk’en rights I did! Just get the crane and give’er!”
Or dating a divorcee...
Which ever one comes to PC first.
Damn it, even though it’s the obvious joke, take a star.
You’re very welcome. Just make sure to read up on the stereo in the GT. It’s a fair bit different than the R-Spec and Base stereo. I’m pretty sure yours has a factory amp and sub. Sun will be on the back deck, amp will be behind the rear passenger side trim panel. The install is not as straight forward for that set…
I got them with the car so I’ll have to do some searching to see which wheels they are. They are actually my winter wheels at the moment.
The install really wasn’t that bad. Metra makes a replacement for the center trim piece that will fit a double din head unit. Having that as well as a wiring harness adapter makes it pretty easy. All in all I think it took me 3 hours taking my time to make sure I didn’t scratch any trim pieces or snap any fittings.
The nice part about the R-Spec is the H-VAC is not tied into the stereo. So you can replace the head unit with any one you want. I went with a Parrot Android Smart head unit. Very pleased. Controls my Android phone (and my wifes iPhone) infinitely better than the stock head unit did. Lets me run VLC, Torque, Waze, and…
I think I’ve been on that boat. Looks like the Royal Princess. It was a lot better than a Sunwing all inclusive.
I like the look of the Veloster and the quirkiness factor. The shifter in it was surprisingly decent. But for only $2300 more, I was able to get an R-Spec G-Coupe. Since I’ve got no kids and the wife has a CUV for the big stuff, it all came down to driving enjoyment, which, unfortunately, the Veloster just didn’t…
