I really don't like the bloodthirsty for any and all men Lily. Brona was very charming in her own way, and was a product of a sad life but hadn't let it destroy her. She had power and strength that is missing in Lily despite all her revenge seeking bravado. Brona didn't see herself as a victim. She had a dignity

Why does anyone ever go out in London with all the carnage? Not only do you have Dorian/Lily, the Manhating Army, et al, murdering in alleys, backstreets and snuff clubs (not to mention the snuffs themselves), but there all the vampires feeding while piles of parts and bodies pile up in ships, theaters and vacant

It does seem odd that Hecate chose to face a room full of men with guns in completely naked witch form…not a stitch of body armour. Perhaps, she underestimated the thickness of her skin.

There was a scene in season two where Ethan pointed a gun at Hecate and asked if it could kill her. She said yes. Last year, Mr Lyle also killed one of Hecate's covenmates with his little pistol. So, I guess that, in addition to being unable to conjure water in desserts, this group of witches were unable to survive

That meal looked seriously yummy…and most people weren't eating…or died before they could start.

Yes, it would have been a wonderful twist if, instead of Hecate turning Ethan toward Lucifer, he had turned her away…before, of course, getting back to Vanessa.

Season 3 is off to a bad start, a really, really bad start.

I could do without their version of developing Ethan's story. They had him dump Vanessa for this? Show needs better writers.

Exactly, why do the writers of Penny Dreadful seem to believe that good can go evile, but that evile can never go good? I'd like it better if Ethan saved Hecate rather screwed her. If Lucifer can mark irrevocably, why can't God?

Exactly. Mass murder is bad, so YEHAW! Now, I'll sign up with Lucifer to do it to the nth degree!! He dumps Vanessa out of guilt, then decides not to feel guilty anymore by screwing the witch who would have destroyed her. PLOT problems, writers. Big, hairy ones. Stop the character destruction. Get everyone back

Wish I thought it was funny, but no way could I laugh. Isn't Hecate the witch who killed the baby's parents and took it so her mother could cut out its heart? I want to like Ethan, always have liked him before, but when he screwed the witch who tried to destroy Vanessa… after he pushed Vanessa away…. Wow. Show is

Penny Dreadful, still my fav for now but possibly not for much longer, is becoming Nilism R Us. Ethan's big daddy prob s that daddy made him join the army? Really? Then, how are we supposed to keep rooting for Ethan when he pushed Vanessa away but goes along to get along, and even screws the witch who tried to do

And no doubt he purchased the expensive admissions for himself and Lilly and provided the weapons to permit their subsequent slaughter and following rescue.

That is bad news. Lyle is a wonderful character.

Of course 'Sweet' isn't. The name alone telegraphed the season. There was no mystery as to whom, just as to how. Was he taken over? Did he used to be someone else who is no longer himself? Or was he always such a master that he was able to negotiate job interviews and,or necessary credentials for prestigious

The TV version also varied from the book in that in the series Jamie has been back for quite some time and Cersi has been shown as rebuffing his advances. In the story the books tells, the sexual encounter at the sept happens immediately upon his return from months and months in captivity and more fresh from the loss
