So, he drives 80K miles/year.  How  the hell did he have the time to do all this?

It’s an incredible build, just made and used for all the wrong reasons. I’m equal parts impressed and dismayed.

You haven’t been to Texas lately I see.....

It looks great and I enjoyed reading this, but I cringed at the Bondo.  I don’t know why I have such a bad reaction to it.

I mean...not really? The design languages of the two highly-dissimilar vehicles aren’t cohesive, but honestly, the craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing. Especially for a 61-year-old, self-taught amature coachbuilder. Take into consideration that this was the guy’s first attempt; dude’s got chops!

Confounding.

Just curious, what do you register this kind of truck as and how is a VIN assigned or assumed?

You’d be surprised at how many trucks I see at Whole Foods.

I normally can’t stand diesel trucks, but credit where it’s due - this is a pretty slick custom build. It looks factory, which is about the highest praise I can give a welded-together one-off. It totally looks like something Ford built in an alternate universe. (Except for the wooden center console, that is.)

His goal was to use a grille from a modern F-250. “I went to Walmart and measured people’s trucks.

That interior is awful....

I’ve got to admit, it’s an impressive build. Not for me, but I appreciate what he did.

To have that good of an eye for fabrication and go with that abominable paint job, wheel choice, and interior is really......... impressive? Confounding? Both?

I’m seriously impressed at the workmanship.

I’m surprised it still has a dash cluster after it’s broken in. My neighbors had their truck broken in. They found it a week later wrapped like a taco shell around a utility pole.

Tesla does this too. They open up the panel gaps as the car ages

I would prefer a fighter jet fly by over of a football game and once the jet passes the stadium, it transforms into a Bald eagle (complete with Captain America outfit), lands, wings turn into gun arms, someone throws a Bud Light in the air, he shoots it perfectly, drinks the beer, then recycles the can by shooting the

someone would have to leave one starting to rust away 10 years ago for it to be ready for his 2035 project.
