Love this. Under $8k for a beautiful, fun weekend car. I don’t know if I’d have the guts to DD this with this many miles on it, but with competent repairs it might just work. 

Down payment is exactly what I thought. Add another 10 grand at least to make this thing good again. 

This is definitely a NP for someone with time, space, and wrenching skills. Since I lack all three, I’ll pass. But it’s a beautiful car, and at least they shined it up nice for the ads. 

I had to CP this because you have to draw the line somewhere. $3000 or even $4000 for some cars is indeed “fuck it” money. But with an anemic engine and over 175k on the clock, and all manner of horrors lurking under the seat, fender, and steering wheel, there’s better places to spend four large. 

I’m not much of a gearhead or wrencher, just someone who likes nice and fun cars. But I really enjoyed how they used the cutaway engine to illustrate how a four-cycle engine works, and how the parts they are making will make it work better. This was good stuff. 

All credit due to the seller who probably knows, in his or her heart, that those wheels are awful, and that stock wheels may have allowed him to list this for more, rather than less, than six grand. NP, but holding my nose at those wheels.
