I don’t understand why personal finance is not a required part of high school educations. So many people have extreme views on debt, either that it’s “free money” or that it’s somehow the devil. On a day to day level, I never put anything on credit that I can’t pay for with cash. And on a larger level, I only make

As a Seattlelite, I really REALLY want an NHL team here. Seattle Sasquatch.

Do you have hairworks turned on? I turned that off and my game stopped crashing completely. I had the same problem, computer restart-requiring crashes.

I aim to please! ...just not, you know... on the beach. Have I mentioned the sand!?

Haha thanks.

Hey, it was a pretty accurate description!

Also, don’t go swimming or sit in the sand ahead of time where you’re likely to get a ton of sand all over yourself. On our honeymoon a couple months ago, my wife and I went to a nude beach in Hawaii. No sex there, but the sand was super sticky and my penis looked like a panko encrusted sushi roll. Not a good time.

Not a silly question, I totally get it. Like others have said, I’d dedicate time to specific things within those two realms. A good way to build strength, stealth, balance, endurance and bravery is to practice rock climbing at a local indoor climbing gym. Perfect for ninja training. I’d also enroll in a good martial

I’m pretty sure LJN did the QA on this game.

This is a really good article. I stopped speaking with my mom about 10 years ago and I always wonder if she would hire a PI to try and find me. I find it’s always safe to assume you’re being followed and aggressively confront anyone who has been following you for more than a couple feet. :)

My tip isn’t for negotiating a new job, but rather a job you are currently at. My experience has been that most of the people you work with will do the bare minumum to get by at their jobs. If you work just 10% harder than your peers, you will look like a god to the management. My other tip; document all of your

Same thing happened to me. Moved to a new area without fully understanding the cost of living. I asked for a way low number apparently. They offered me 21,000 more than I asked for.

I obviously don’t know your financial situation, but don’t lump us all into the same category. My wife and I are 24, both worked full time throughout college and paid for college with a combination of loans, personal savings and academic scholarships. We graduated, got a job and paid off our $45,000 of student loans

I’m hoping to buy a house on the eastside now, assuming that it will be worth quite a bit more in several years if people keep wanting to move to this area. Unfortunately all of the houses are stupidly expensive.

Yeah, that’s the main reason I’m living in Issaquah, a fair amount cheaper than Seattle. The commute sucks, but carpooling makes it go pretty fast actually.

I only asked about being a native because I’ve gotten that hated of amazon vibe more from people who’ve been here a long time. I realized after I wrote that it might have come across as assholeish

Haha, are you a native to the area? I work in South Lake Union (not at amazon I promise) and a ton of people just constantly rip on Amazon. I definitely want to try out some of the restaurants on Capitol Hill. I love living in Issaquah, but it definitely lacks some of the activities of the city.

Nice, how is it there? I only ever read two things about that area. People complaining about Amazon workers moving there and ruining it, and Amazon workers complaining about the artists living there that won’t catch up with the times.

Yeah! I don’t know how highly we rank on the cool meter, but we’re definitely friendly! Do you guys actually live in Seattle? We live in Issaquah, east of the city. We don’t have any friends at the moment, all of ours are back in Ohio where we grew up.

We were actually looking at moving to PDX as well, but chose Seattle because of all the jobs. How’s the traffic there though? I’m getting real sick of Seattle’s horrible horrible traffic every day. Good luck to your partner!
