Rookies are ineligible. (But also, doesn’t that article read like it’s at least as much about Cleveland’s LeBron-era holdovers being a bunch of cranky assholes? He’s a 19-year-old rookie. He’s supposed to be clueless!)

Yes there is: “If any licensee shall permit any person who is a legally qualified candidate for any public office to use a broadcasting station, he shall afford equal opportunities...”
Except NBC has not offered broadcast time to any other candidate running for President in 2020, so as of yet there is no obligation to provide Trump equal opportunity.
Dude, POTUS is not on the ballot. This is a midterm election.
Except that this ad wasn’t for any candidate running for office. This was Trump doing a commercial. This is easy to win against in a lawsuit. Great google search, but you’re clearly not a lawyer familiar with this application of law. NBC did have a choice in the matter. They chose to be complicit in racism.
NBC either needs to turn down every advertisement for every candidate running for POTUS or they have to run that ad.
The ad wasn’t for Trump running for president. He’s not a candidate for anything this year. So what you cited does not apply.
This was actually an ad for their new sitcom, “Triumph of the Will and Grace.”
I’m irrationally upset by the degree to which Jon Gruden destroyed the Raiders. I am not a Raiders fan. I know Raiders fans can be insufferable dickholes. But fucking hell, man, the degree to which Gruden his screwed this team is frustrating as all get out.
“He looks great in that video. Very natural.” -Sammy Sosa
I’d consider, “slavery was a choice” to be gaslighting. This shit here is straight up push/pull psychology perpetrated by whomever is pulling his strings.
I mean, even if it wasn’t him, those tweets don’t absolve him. Whoever is tweeting that shit not taking responsibility for their his actions. He’s gaslighting us. This is not even close to a serious self-rebuke. Sorry.

Steph’s transformation from “delightful novelty on obscure team” to “unstoppable colossus that changed the history of basketball” is one of the more surprising sports turns I can recall
Fergie is the one who owes the apology to anybody who had the misfortune of hearing that interpretive abortion.
1. By Josh Duhamel’s estimation we are all pricks who owe Fergie an apology.
Nate, terrific and sobering piece. I’m genuinely curious, do you regret playing football, either at all or at such high levels? (I apologize if you’ve addressed this elsewhere and I just never saw that article)
The United States is broken, let alone the NFL. Health care is a human right, not something that’s lavishly bestowed on Roger Goodell’s family.
The team owners could also lobby all those politicians in their pocket to implement Medicare For All and side step this whole entire argument.
