So... we’re going to use one fossil fuel to generate a lot of hydrogen, use another fossil fuel to carry it across an ocean made of mostly hydrogen, and then burn it to make “clean” energy instead of just using solar power to make hydrogen from water, which is everywhere.

Harder tires for everyone is exactly what is needed. Then talent will matter more, and you’ll actually get racing instead of a parade where nobody is willing to burn their one good lap from a set of tires on trying a pass.

The pisser is it becomes impossible to get a UGDO in a car. First BMW moved it into the mirror, then they dropped the option from a MINI entirely. And if you did want to retrofit it, you have a buy an expensive mirror integrated with rain sensor and other junk which nobody stocks.

A successful startup starts out in “stealth mode” where they develop a useful prototype as quickly as possible so they can raise money to go to production with an actual new idea before anyone else.

It dented the regular door

I wonder if there’s a rise in birth rates 9 months later?

AJ Foyt and all the drivers he went up against back in the day. The Unsers, Mario, etc.

Thank you for saying exactly what I wanted to say. Assigning blame is for courts. NTSB reports are for everybody to learn something in the interest of safety, not punishment.

A responsible conversion will have a battery disconnect triggered by a crash sensor. If you know enough to piece together a battery, controller, and motor you could piece together the right Bosch pieces to make this work. Also a race car style external battery disconnect would make sense.

You’re smoking crack. Looks even worse.

BMW continues their tradition of making i cars ugly as sin. What a waste. No wonder Tesla is so successful.

It’s Mustang-inspired in that it has a longish wheelbase, rear wheel drive, and presumably a nice drivetrain but falls short of being a useful family car by only having two doors.

How about giving wagons hydraulic suspension so people that can’t be bothered to sit down can just slide in, but still have the good looks of a low sled. As a bonus you get a fantastic rallycross car on demand.

What I read elsewhere is that Hulman & Co in its entirety was sold to Penske. So no more divestitures, this is the whole enchilada.

I’m gonna disagree. I look at my F80 and think “that looks kinda cool and edgy” but I look at my E90 and think “that looks good”.

This is fantastic. Nothing like holding a mirror up to somebody for them to finally learn they are being ugly (behind the wheel).

I applaud them keeping the lights on for several hours. I’ve done a few 12+ hour flights where I needed to stay awake to deal with jet lag and they dim the lights and black out the non-controllable lcd windows on the 787 instead.

It sounds like part of the current negotiations are to try and close that gap some. What’s really killing the unions are that they’re competing with Mexican workers at 10X the pay. Can UAW workers really say they are 10 times as productive or skilled? UAW should be pushing to show a dramatically better quality of

I’ve owned several BMWs and I can say the base model loaner cars I get from the dealer lately don’t look or feel great compared to the Model 3 (or to higher end BMW models). Add in BMW consistently shooting behind the duck on infotainment and the weak performance of their base models and this all makes a lot of sense

I’m on my 5th BMW but they seem even more lost now than in the Bangle days. At least those cars were fun to drive even if ugly on the outside. My F80 M3 is indeed several seconds a lap faster than my E90 but I can see myself trading it for a Model S when the Plaid refresh comes out. No point in having an M3 that
