Meanwhile, can you iPhone people stop “liking” each others texts in a group chat so my phone isn’t blowing up every couple of minutes?

I’ve been buying my wheels from canada. Even after shipping and import duties, it ends up WAY cheaper to do that thanks to the exchange rate. Canadawheels.ca is the site I’ve bought from last, super easy, just email them to set up a US shipment.

You forgot to add in the cost of the tank of gas you will have to buy on the Canadian side just to drive it to the border. ;-)

It’s not a good tip though.

One item of caution, the dealers/manufacture sometimes will not support warranties for cars sold in another country.

Speaking of syrup...Canada actually has a stockpile equivalent to 4 average years of the WORLD’S maple syrup consumption. That stockpile is kept safe in the event of a few bad seasons decreasing supply and causing prices to surge. If that weren’t crazy enough, there was a heist at the syrup stockpile and someone stole

Or, if airport parking (and hospital parking) rates are anything like they are in the Toronto area, if you are delayed, at some point it becomes cheaper to walk away from the vehicle.

Complained when the stock price was 420, complained when you could get a Model 3 for $35000 sooooooo I guess, keep complaining. The market will keep adjusting itself, the people buying are still buying, those complaining will keep complaining and Tesla will keep making money. Next!

Panel gaps aren’t cheap, you guys.

First off let me say that I think it’s a shame that the base Model 3 is now over $40k. And especially that the base Model Y was discontinued earlier this year so now that starts at $55k.

Count-Counter-Point:

So much this. Somewhere along the line when everyone decided we needed to have 20-plus inch wheels, someone also decided we needed the cars to massively tall. There’s simply WAY too much freeboard on cars these days and it completely saps most designs of any sexiness whatsoever. I don’t know how everyone lost the plot

They really ought to revive the brand with some truly bonkers proportions. I think people still unconsciously associate a long-ass hood and overhang with luxury, and wire wheels, portholes, hood ornaments, all things that could work with more modern styling. Make Lincoln Luxury Barges Again

And cowbell

You must have never been to Florida!

If you’re a dealer that still has a new one of these on the lot after all the supply issues this last year has had, you have had a real bitch of a time moving it and are probably heavily incentivizing potential buyers to take it off your hands. Literally any other vehicle would sell almost instantly, you want this

Gah, I love these. I always forget about them, because I’ve only seen one in the wild. The three-box form factor is dying, but I wish that weren’t so. I suppose my affection for these anachronistic land yachts is irrational, but it is what it is.

Needs more Hood

In pictures this car is always gorgeous. In person it always looks like a 4/5 scale version of what it should have been.
