Ooh, I’ll have to look for that.
Ooh, I’ll have to look for that.
Racing the Beam is a fantastic book if you have any interest at all in early 8-bit gaming/computing. It is simply astounding what programmers were able to do with the 2600, let alone, as you said, get anything up on the screen at all.
I love those LeSabres and I still see tons of them on the road but I think the sweet spot has shifted to later cars now due to their general aging making them more volatile, the intake manifold and coolant elbow issues, and plus they eat window regulators like candy. If you stay on top of the coolant and can turn a…
I love some Cobra wheels but they don’t look quite right on the big Lincoln coupe. Put some more appropriate wheels on there - wire wheels or some late model Towncar wheels and it’s ready to roll.
Even the clutch pedal has rust on it.
That horse was just passing through on his way to this video:
Does this mean they’ve got room in the lineup to make the Avista now...???
This is normally when I make a “left turn at Albuquerque” joke but even Bugs Bunny can’t do justice to the absurdity of this grille. Back to the drawing board. Thanks BMW.
You wooldn’t have believed it.
Oh, wow. This is bringing back flashbacks to a roadtrip across the US we took as a kid. On the Interstate outside of Salt Lake City in the middle of summer we were caught in a traffic jam for hours with this horrendous odor that intensified as we inched closer to the cause of the back up and as the sun intensified and…
I knew I should’ve taken a right turn at Albuquerque .
Oh, that’s good to hear. But still, that means Ford will have THREE totally unrelated gas V8 engine families concurrently in production.
I did the rough math for TCO/mile for diesel vs gas 3/4 and one ton trucks recently and it really only pays to get a diesel if you drive it for a lot of miles. I can’t see it making sense for 1/2 tons in most cases.
Mmmm... Porsche sitting on polished/black Fuchs. Wait, what was the topic again?
A comment about the Silverado 6.0l performance a while back got me poking around 1/2 ton performance tests and there’s plenty of classic sports cars that would be faster being towed on a flatbed trailer behind one of the top dog 1/2 ton trucks than going down the strip under their own power.
Straight to eBay to recoup some of the losses.
I’m just here for the Justice remix.
I will take this opportunity to mention again my perverted desire to mix and match parts from a Lebaron convertible and a contemporary Daytona and make the Daytona convertible that never was. I just need an IROC R/T with some roof damage.
I could see someone driving this ironically or someone who is totally into 1980s culture (that bled into the first few years of the 1990s).
Sexy mid-engine sports car with an American small block and manual transaxle? I guess it’s back to Panteras for me then.
