Automatic spark advance.

Brilliant. Simply brilliant.

I was just coming to say the same thing.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of having to post it this time.

I want to go to there.

International law says if a douchebag refers to his Porsche as his "Poorsch" then you can claim the title right there on the spot. You also get his quarterly bonus from the firm as punitive damages.

The biggest aesthetic issue with the II is the wheels - the size and location. I came across a thread somewhere where a guy moved the front axle line forward, pushed the wheels out from under the car, enlarged the wheel wells and put properly proportioned wheels on it and it looked great.

If the Taurus SHO was the Galaxie 500 SHO or Crown Victoria SHO then no one would have a problem with it but compared to the original SHOs and the old Tauruses in general, the new ones have lost their way.

I mentioned this elsewhere but it would not take much to turn that EvOS into the new Mustang. Mostly some more length in the hood.

I thought the 2006 reskinning of the Chevy Impala was disappointing. The 2000-2005 had a little character to it and looked pretty good in black with some decent wheels but the 2006 smothered any personality and left a very bland intermediate-size anonymous-mobile.

I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to confiscate that drawing and take you downtown.

Bah, that's what everyone says about everything interesting. Sensibility takes the fun out of everything.

This marks the point in time when the stick shift finally jumped the shark. We've survived 3 on the tree column shifters, torque converter manumatic 4 speeds, 1-4 skip-shift 6-speeds and billiard ball knobs, but this is a shift too far.

I kinda like this DeTomaso fella.

Sure, but it takes a lot more to get from 45 to 70 in a reasonable amount of time.

Seems a bit much for something in that condition. I can't in good conscience validate the overvalued value of project musclecars.

48 HP is miserable. Who am I to talk though, my parent's 1980 Dasher Diesel only made 55* - that's still over 10% more power though, and it had functional heat and air conditioning. Imagine what a hot rod the 1989 VW Fox I got that replaced it felt like with its 90 unbridled horsepowers!

True, but most drivers aren't and weren't skilled at pedal modulation or threshold braking so locking them up was a fair assessment of prospective performance for the average car buyer.

I had a 91 for a while and it wasn't bad, other than the paint failing prematurely and the nightmare of vacuum hoses under the hood that passed for 80's era emissions controls. The spoiler that wraps around the hatch and deeper air-dam under the nose and the other ground effects on the later cars do wonders for
