I can see it now! We’ll open the Hilton app and there will be a Park & Stay & Charge rate, which allows for unlimited charging for an extra $x/night. Again, this is great until there are n+1 who rented Teslas, staying at the Hampton Inn.

Umm, no. C&D wasn’t being misleading at all. They laid out the costs and scenario quite plainly, and there was a case where operating a Model 3 was roughly equivalent to paying $9/gallon of gas. They also stated, as you pointed out, that it is atypical of most owners’ behavior.

I agree, for the case of most business travelers. But I’ve been seeing more and more charging stations at the restaurants near hotels lately.
Personally, I sell to hospitals for a living and lots of them have EV spots with chargers right there by the entrance to the parking structure. It would be really great to pull

Can we just agree that it’s the beige ‘95 Camry and call it a day?

5th Gear: This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen this kind of data. Car and Driver found during their long term test of a Tesla Model 3, that if they charge at public stations it is actually much more expensive to operate than their long term BMW 3 series was at the time. Essentially it was equivalent to paying

The price is right about market value. I’d pay the $95k if the seller takes off that (redacted adjective) thing on the hood.

That’s the tricky thing about a national car dealership. Thousands of extremely valuable assets to sell, and there is a piece of paper that needs to go with every single one of them. It’s complicated further by 50 different states with different laws surrounding how and when the title gets transferred, when taxes are

That all makes perfect sense. UGH with the paint. People need to have the self-awareness to know if they should hire that shit out. I don’t try to mud & tape drywall because I’m bad at it, but I can paint interior walls like a pro.

I’ve driven a shit ton of rental cars. Enough that everyone at the enterprise at MDW knew me by first name for years. By far the best rental car I ever got was an F-150 Platinum with single digit miles, and some of the protective plastic still on interior trim pieces. It was a loaded example, with a massaging seat and

Curious why you gutted every room down to the studs. Did the bedrooms really need new drywall, or did you do some reconfiguration?

Our first house was like that. Woefully outdated, as everything was original to the house that was built in 1990, but in good shape. One by one, we repainted every room, changed the light

Great breakdown, and I agree completely. I like sleeping in my friend’s fifth wheel camper when we go deer and elk hunting every year, because it gets cold outside and the trip is about the hunt and not so much the camping. It’s nice to bring the comfort (and booze) of home with us.
But when it comes to vacation, the

‘11 and ‘12 are actually the same. It got a nose job for the 2013 model year, which I thought looked awesome at the time. Now that I’ve had time to look at both after a few years, I think the sharper lines of the ‘11 & ‘12 are more muscular and better looking.

Damn. Just piss in my Cheerios, whydontcha?

This would be a great rig for deer and elk camp. I’d buy the whole kit and kaboodle, and sell the Yaris to fund updates to the interior of the motor home. Nice price.

This QOTD got me thinking and now I’ve spent an hour shopping for my dream Boss 302. It seems there are lots of them available with under 10k miles. They’re kind of expensive, but we’ve already established that this will be my forever vehicle... Mrs. Cruiser and I are going to have a talk when I get home and I am

Seems like most of the staff forgot about the 6'6" tall buyer. No way in heck this guy is fitting in a Cosmo, Testarossa, or NSX. The 911 is a great choice, but he should also consider an Audi R8.

I have a close friend and college teammate who played eight years in the NFL. When he got signed as a free agent, he said that he was buying a Viper the first year that he made a million bucks. Poor guy signed his $1.7mm contract a couple years in and went directly to the dealership, only to find out that he didn’t

Please please please tell us more about your experience with the lifetime warranty! I emailed Torch about this as an idea for a story a while back. I really want to find out if owners have had a hard time getting Chrysler to honor the warranty since all of the mergers and time that has passed.

Reminds me of a joke I heard on some late night tv show back when SCOTUS struck down gay marriage bans. Something along the lines of, “now that gays can get married in any state, they too can share in the joys and horrors of divorce”
