I did that twice in my life, on the days that I learned the words “epitome ” and “juxtapose” back in 2002. Eighth grade was a good year. Is it weird that I can specifically recall those days?

I think the Lexus grille looks good on the LX, GX, and RX, and maybe  the GS (RIP). The rest look craptacular.

I talk about conquering weekend projects, then hire that shit out half the time. Works awesome and I feel warm and fuzzy about fueling the economic engine or some such thing that helps me sleep.

You’re not wrong for practical purposes. But have you driven a half-ton pickup produced after about 2007? They’re really nice to drive, vs cargo vans which are not. So when one’s use case is just DD and you don’t need the seating capacity of a van, pickups are tough to beat. And that’s coming from a van guy. I DD a

Where do you get off, saying the Tundra has been a “thinking man’s full-size truck”? In what way would a thinking man judge the Tundra to be a good buy? They’re less capable than the competition and have been less efficient. Have you driven a Tundra? I have. The body control is horrible, as are the breaks. And it’s

The Buick Roadmaster in Rain Man. That’s a sick car and very valuable today.

That’s a cool ride but there hasn’t been enough beer brewed to get me to cough up $15,500 for the uhhh, privilege of owning it.

A government entity in California, engaging in unconstitutional behavior? How do I post that Pikachu meme picture?
On a serious note, these unconstitutional actions are shitty as all get out, and I hope the suit results in financial restitution for all parties who were wrongfully affected in the last four years. I

It’s bewildering that some people equate haggling with getting screwed by a dealer, but don’t make the exact same connection to just paying what the dealers says they want you to pay.

You don’t negotiate on TV’s? Man, I’ll negotiate on anything. We bought a Speed Queen washer and dryer last fall. Love the set, but they’re frightfully expensive. I also have a bigass Weber grill at home. I paid list for it, but they threw in the cover and a set of Weber branded grill tools at no cost. All because I

I think you may have been doing it wrong. My strategy last time I bought new was: research all applicable incentives and the invoice price. From there, I add $500 to invoice, subtract incentives, and subtract $600 (“my” share of hold back). Then I tell the dealer, “I’ll buy it today for this amount.” If they counter

The “no haggle” dealers are one of the biggest façades in the the business. They all say that they offer their “best price” up front. It just means they won’t entertain any offer below what the best price is for them at that moment.

Exactly. I play the game for pure leisure and if I ever find myself taking pride in video game accomplishments, outside of in my own head, I’ll have to do some serious re-examination of my real life. Why should the developer care if I want to take a shortcut to owning the really cool cars in their game?

That’s kind of where I am with the whole thing. Look at the price gap between a Charger Heck Feline, and an E63. I think the price gap accounts for the difference in luxury and refinement.

Responding to your comment as well as another, in an effort to put this myth to bed. What you stated is simply not the truth. Sure, bodies are taller on newer pickups but look up length, width, and wheelbase of today’s Ranger vs. a 2003 of the same cab configuration, and then choose a F-150 to compare those other

That’s simply not even approaching the truth. Look up the measurements of your pickup vs. those of a 1989 F-150.

Imagine for a moment, a world where you don’t trouble yourself with what other people choose as their means of transportation.

I have no qualms with the pickup itself, unlike the self-righteous commenters among us. $16,900 is a bad price for this particular pickup. NP at $12,900 though.

One of the only vehicles that is less reliable than an ‘08 Volkswagen!

Because my day was improved by spending a moment to take in the beauty of a 911 GTS in Guards Red.
