I agree with a lot of what you said. Except for that I will of course teach my kids creationism. But that doesn't have to exclude evolution. I like the way the little kid says it, in the Russell Crowe movie Master and Commander, when a scientist shows him how these birds are evolving over 1000 of years the kid asks,

Maybe so, if that's the case, I want to be the one to do the teaching.

"I'm not sure if you're genuinely awesome (although there's some bad structure in your response -I could be wrong ESL here) or slightly megalomaniac.."

It's not necessarily that I don't trust them, as much as I know that am just better qualified to teach my own kids. Especially with the teaching background that I personally have.

I myself had a wonderful time in public schools. Tons of fond memories, and not many issues. I don't want it to seem like I'm against public schools altogether, more so I just wanted to stress the fact that home-schooling is a great alternative for those of us who are able to do so.

Ok cool.

This world is icky, so my kids coming into contact with icky stuff is just inevitably going to happen; I'm not worried about it. My goal is just to keep them away from that icky stuff until they are prepared to handle it. We might actually home-school just until high school.

At this point, your questions aren't coming from a genuine desire to hear my point of view; you just want to argue. So I'm not going to answer your questions because I don't want to argue.

No no no, that's not how homeschooling works dude. It's not just a single parent working with the kids and having no support. They have entire "schools" for home-school kids. They basically have all the same access to teachers, tutors, sports, extra-curricular activities, online classes, and etc. as the public school

True. Either way I personally don't want my kids in an environment where they will have to pay for a parent or teacher's negligence. Homeschool FTW. But I ain't hatin on non-home-schooler parents, just to be clear.

"Personally, I'm abstaining..." Well good on ya mate! It is a decision that you will never regret.

Edit: That little girl's introduction to pornography at school was not healthy.

You're absolutely right. When you tell kids what they aren't allowed to do, you're giving them a dare; and that never works. Especially when you're the kind of parent/teacher who has a "do as I say not as I do" mentality. But when parents can lead by example, that's a different story. I got married at 25, as a virgin,

It's because of stuff like this that I'm glad we're home-schooling our kids. Maybe it's perfectly fine to teach kids sex-ed at a young age, maybe it's not. Either way, I know one thing is for sure... in our household, we the parents are going to be the ones who make that decision, when WE feel it is best; it won't be

You are missing out. The most recent season finale was so good, it literally brought me to tears.

Definitely. Just last night some weirdos were following me around in a pickup truck, as I was driving my wife and daughter home. They were flashing their lights and everything. I'm like, "I know that they don't need help, they just passed a gas station where they could have got help if they needed it. I know we don't

The Lord sent me and a few others from my church to go talk to people about the Lord once. It's not really something we do (going out and talking to random people), but in prayer we knew the Lord was directing us to this one park on a specific night... so we went. And it just so happened that Britt Nicole was
