@loosesealbluth: @Le Kangourou de Kataroo: Ignorati, even! I'm stealing this.

@Valkyrie607: I keep wondering if the Poland my grandmother left in 1935 felt like this — that is, just a few years before every member of the family she left behind was killed.

@NefariousNewt: from your mouth, er, keyboard, to God's ear.

@Valkyrie607: What scares me is that it won't be them going out. We live in perilous times.

@RedRua: Okay, now that image is just stuck in my head and making me laugh. Ha!

Part of me wants the major news networks to cover this and show the moderate majority how these evil people behave; another part of me fears that the coverage this scum has already gotten amplifies their effect well beyond the actual numbers of people involved and thereby affects our politics even more. Ugh.

@leukothea: It all raises the conundrum of what on earth is to be done about these people — because the rage they engender makes me want to retaliate in kind (or worse, I have some seriously violent fantasies about what I'd like to have happen to these people). You can't reason with a mob made up of hate-filled

@ravella_the_river_boat_queen: And I have every right to make a comment about a woman who doesn't understand that infidelity is something to be ashamed of and tries to hide behind feminism to make it seem okay.

Teabaggers are in the Capitol building and just called Barney Frank a "Fucking faggot" according to talkingpointsmemo.com. It feels a whole lot like 1930's Germany these days, with a virulent rabble taking over and hate-mongers leading them.

I love Satchmo in the back, laughing along.

@ravella_the_river_boat_queen: Just because you don't feel guilty about doing something wrong doesn't mean it was right. You plainly are in no position to be objective about it. And you know what's annoying, hurtful and irresponsible? Sleeping with a married man.

@MedusaInterrupted: I was wondering about that. There certainly are a lot of ladies in the porn industry who would be in breast jail if this were true.

Hey Tats McGee, you should just stop talking now.

@squeakel: You are of course correct.

@Evie Havok: I went to school with people like this, too, but this level of open rudeness and bigotry is in fact surprising to me. And labeling this as a "White" thing doesn't help anything. Blame her, don't blame her race.

It's kind of fascinating to me how much hatred this woman engenders, including by me. That said, there's something concerning to me about the focus on these pictures. Her actions and words are sufficiently repellant to garner outrage; but these pictures, which mostly just seem awkward and desperate to me, have

@bluebears: While I agree investigative journalism is sorely in need of a boost, I think the David Paterson work the NY Times just did is a whole heckuva lot more than mere regurgitation of bios. I do think there's a reticence about sex stories in most mainstream papers —Larry Flynt and the Enquirer have probably
