Elmo completely no sold the attack.  It wasn’t like he was bawling his puppet eyes out afterwards.

I honest to god couldn’t tell if this was sarcasm at first. I remember as a kid hating Elmo and would have cheered horrible things happening.

Wil has turned into a humorless, judgmental, self-righteous prick. It seems like I only see his name anymore because he was again scolding someone for some extremely minor infraction.

As a father of two, had either of my sons been upset by this, it would have been a matter of, “Elmo and the man were just pretending.” That’s all. That would have worked at virtually any age. And it’s not like I’m some genius parent.

Amazing. Every word you just said is wrong.

I think they’re basically mad because they picked a console and now it seems like they picked wrong. Had they gotten playstations they’d have access to more games with seemingly no downsides.

Isn’t game pass on PC not called “XBOX gamepass” anymore?
Wouldn’t it make sense to just advertise the event as Microsoft gamepass because its for PC and console, and they’re different products?

I haven’t played the Rebirth demo, but IMO it was pretty clear from Remake that they were doing something different than just a literal remake in these games. It felt like they were the same characters from the OG Final Fantasy VII that, from whatever means, were forced to go back and re-enact those events.

It wasn’t that difficult to infer after the events of Remake alone.

People who say streaming is as bad now as cable either:

Why would you miss year-long contracts and having to call someone just to cancel?

What’s also not needed are those highly choreographed fight scenes that seem to go on for eternity. The way they’re depicted, it seems so improbable that any part of these fights could go past 10-seconds before someone needs an ambulance. Are either one of these guys asking themselves, “Does this 8-minute fight

Remember when these fucks were all laughing about selling their old shit that wasn’t making them any money anyway to Netflix? Then they saw how Netflix made money hand over fist by offering a decent catalog at a reasonable price and took the exact wrong lessons from it. Each stupid company scrambled to have just their

I’m sorry, can we just retire the baffling lie that this is what cable always was? Cable is the thing where you want to watch ESPN, so you also have to pay for A&E, USA, five music channels, six kids channels, and three cooking channels despite not wanting any of them.

Nah, you can be really into something without making it or the community around it a part of your identity. It’s the difference between “this is a thing I’m into” and “being into this is something I am”.

We’ve been fighting this war for nothing.

I used to think this too but...nah, I do think “fandom” as it is used and exists today is inherently toxic. I’m a fan of Final Fantasy, love the games and pretty much buy every new one, but I would hesitate to say I’m in the “Final Fantasy Fandom” because to me that means a much bigger emotional buy-in than I actually

The only justifiable reason for taking a console/format war seriously is if your paycheck literally depends on it.

“I was wrong all of this time, Xbox doesn’t care about us, Microsoft doesn’t care about us. We’ve been fighting this war for nothing.”
