I pitched it, and in a perfect world where a movie could get on the list more than once, it would probably be here. (Especially since Hail, Caesar! is pretty much ALL great scenes, more than a coherent thing.) Would that it t'were so simple.

My reaction to The Nice Guys has been weird, because I remember enjoying pretty much every moment of it, and yet it's so low-key that it slides off of my memory when I try to think of movies I saw in 2016. That's part of the charm, but it makes it hard to stump for when end-of-year stuff comes around.
I just got around to watching Zootopia after hearing a lot of positive critical buzz, and it might be the most relevant kids' movie I've ever seen (that still works really well as a kids' movie, to boot)
I think you're absolutely right, by the way, that the type helper should be an option, instead of mandatory. There are times when I miss that old "Is this move even going to work?" tension.
"Veteran" and "hardcore fan" are two separate things. I've been playing Pokemon games since Blue, and there are things I really love about them, and things I've found consistently frustrating. Pokemon is a series where "the entire POINT" is a pretty nebulous, self-defined concept, and I don't think my perspective on…
You can turn the Z-animations off: but not during vs. battles, where all move animations are on by default. Which is cool, because I usually have them off and like to see them, but it really does make it clear how needlessly elaborate the Z-moves are.
Yeah, I just finished the game last night, and I imagine getting through those last few fights on Nuzlocke would be pretty rough. Congrats!
Archer started out stiff, but the actual designs were pretty crisp. (And it's gotten legitimately gorgeous in the years since, although I guess it's not fair to compare season one of Pacific Heat to season 6 of a much higher-budgeted show)
I was literally being paid to watch it and it was still a struggle.
My take on Arrival: Don't start your movie with a monologue about how time is circular if you want your "Wait, time is circular!" twist to land at the end.
EDIT: It's starting to look like this got leaked, actually; every video of it is getting copyright blocked.
I'm sold on everything but Garfield, who looks too clean and shiny for the kind of deep angst that seems to be the point.
It saves a little time. From my point of view, the psychological feeling of moving recklessly faster is way more important than a few seconds' difference in actual speed. I'm much less interested in the "not actually faster" part than the "feels fun and out-of-control" part.

Now I feel silly for forgetting the roll when I was writing this. It really is a beautiful successor to the Boots, now that you mention it.
I did, and I would.
At least give out a No-Prize. (Actual value: $99,000)
I can write fast, especially when it's easy to tease out what it is that made someone so great.
It was not. Why do you ask?
Did you see that they have little Starburst bits now? No unwrapping required!
