Although that one doesn't stay unrequited. Much as I kind of wish it had, because boy are those Dee-Anders-Kara-Lee triangle episodes bleh.

Somewhere around the end of Season Three, I had to basically take my then-girlfriend aside and tell her that John and Aeryn end up together, because she was getting too upset to be able to watch the show.

beema is tsundere for A.V. Club, pass it on.

Thanks for pointing this out, it's been fixed.

Naw, dawg, it's the internet. We got you. Jacob the Blue Jay 4 life.

Is that one of the early ones, where you receive a cake with a file baked into it, and then spend 20 minutes figuring out which verb you have to type in to get it out?

I mean, "mindless groupthink" is also how slang transforms into language. And while it's clear that some people have strong negative connotations with this usage, to me it's a pretty neutral term for "releases something, often without warning".

I do, sometimes, but the multiple syllables and sibilance at the end always make it feel weaker, less active. Also, it takes up more space.

Give me a better synonym for "release" that fits comfortably in headlines, and I'll use it.

I try to make it casual when I check. Just a little glance backward, no need to startle the murderer…

*sigh* It sure is. Thanks.

I'm in more or less the same boat, but god, watch that clip linked in the article. His competitor does what's obviously a great job, and then Mirra just destroys him. Work of art.

I'm a stinker.

He seized power in a bloodless coup—all Avada Kedavraings.

Bleh, that's what happens when I make assumptions. Article's been corrected, thanks.

Me!

At least, when it's outside his personal control. Faction Paradox's The Book Of The War was—I think—pretty collaborative (and awesome), but Miles edited the whole thing.

Brooks version, sorry. Updated the post to identify it.

As nice an idea as that is, I always imagine the Miles estate as being lit by the smoldering embers of about a thousand Doctor Who-related burning bridges.
