The Hype Loop is even more laughable than the Cybertruck.  This "transit innovation" is cars in tunnels with colored lights. They can't even use automation in this highly controlled environment.

Hey Elon, I’m sorry you don’t understand why no one likes you, but you misidentified a Dark Knight quote as Spider-Man(which also has a hyphen).

Ford didn’t make announcements every few months promising the Nucleon was about to hit showrooms.

“I don’t understand the villification of a pretty down to earth Billionaire compared to what else we have to live with, like Jeff Bezos or Trump.”

a pretty down to earth Billionaire

Muskrat openly admitted this whole thing was a boondoggle he did just to suck attention and money away from actually viable public transportation projects.

Elmo can’t get ‘Full Self Driving’ to work in a closed environment like the hyperloop. With zero uncontrolled cars around it. In a walled off garden, on a track that can be programmed. And it DOESN’T WORK.

I live here, but I’ve not had the opportunity to use the system. As for the trespassers who were sleeping... there is a large unhoused population here, and when it gets hot, underground tunnels are a quiet and cool place to get some sleep.

Because self-drive doesn’t work.

Took the Loop a couple years ago while at CES. I asked the driver if she was using the FSD mode. She sheepishly said that none of the drivers could use FSD in the tunnel... I was like, then what’s the POINT?

Will someone explain to me why this is all being driven by drivers? It’s a relatively closed system, no inclement weather, in theory no other vehicles, low speed... It’s literally the most ideal setting for self drive. What are they afraid of?

Half the population is below average, and the average is not very high to start with.

Oh 100% and the sad part is the local university is talking about doing a pair of loops under campus.

Don’t believe the haters. This is a total success!

My town has a boat ramp that is not at the very end of a road, you do have to turn to drive into it. And people do, right into the ocean.

I remember when people were less gullible and weird cults usually involved people in silver bedsheets waiting for space aliens to come and take them to the stars.

By gum, it put THEM on the map!

It really won’t be. The dream of fully automated vehicles with no change in infrastructure is completely unrealistic. If the vision is a future where you don’t have to drive yourself, trains and busses already exist. Update that tech and expand service.

Should have gone with the monorail. North Haverbrook did, and as far as I know, they are quite happy with it.
