There’s also a control element. You can’t get a job or want a separate source of income if you have 4 in diapers. You can’t start to have independent thoughts if you’re exhausted from keeping a passel of kids alive while also attending to the needs of a man-baby who might as well be another child.

To me that’s when things stop being just a different religious sect and upgrade to being a cult.

I adore kittens but you are right.  Until they are about 2 years old, they are little furry assholes.  

No one can be an adequate parent to that many kids.  You wind up forcing your older kids to be surrogate parents and we all know what that kind of authority led to with Josh Duggar.  The whole ‘clown car uterus’ mentality gives me the creeps.  I always was disgusted by the entire group.

Yeah, they’re called Quiverfulls. As in, your kids are arrows filling a quiver, ready to do God’s work. It’s fucking disgusting because A) the church (read males) strip women of all bodily autonomy. B) kids are just a resource, and C) they’re weaponizing their faith.

IMR, I think that’s done on purpose. They assign younger children to older daughters specifically because they consider girls to be “mother’s in training”.

I’m sure there are secular moms who just like babies and forget them as soon as they age up, but in the Duggars’ church, it’s your Christian duty to have as many kids as fast as possible so that the Christian theocracy can come to pass that much faster. Raising the kids to be healthy and happy is...secondary at best.

I have asked myself that question for YEARS! How the Hell is his company getting away with this for so long? You would think that the NTSB or the NHSA would stop this or ANY issuance company would be worried about this Beta testing. It blows my mind!
