I can think of quite a few politicians I’d like to try this experiment on. In fact I just happen to have a guillotine handy...

“In the U.S., these conditions are best met in the Great Lakes Region, especially on the colder lakes less prone to algae blooms, and the inland portion of the Northeast.”

Of course, but hey, we’re Aussie, we’re used to that.

Apparently you’ve never seen Mad Max? :)

This one is easy for me, already did my research over many, many years.

As someone that lives in the great lakes area I have been torn over climate change for a while. On one hand, the global death and suffering is bad. On the other hand, my weather has become a lot more tolerable. the summers cooler, the winter cold snaps are shorter. it is nice that at least in America, its the assholes

Apparently the term “dynamical and statistical downscaling” is a big deal when applying or focusing global climate models regionally. From NOAA Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory on climate model downscaling:

Real question - is this legal where she is? Even if those guns are unloaded (and I have to assume they are, because I can’t believe anyone can be such a colossal moron), that is absolutely against any safe firearms handling protocols. Doesn’t Washington DC have laws about how you can store and display guns?

Now playing

I mean, the NRA has an entire site devoted to courting women: https://www.nrawomen.com/

Who will play the plucky young female? Every Gaiman classic has a resolved pattern of a protagonist young female who eventually triumphs over incredible odds — not that there’s anything wrong with that — but it might almost be an interesting admission for an autobiography (almost)

They’re just nitpicking.

Not everyone can be John Malkovich.

Or Neil Gaiman as Neil Gaiman and Andy Dick as Amanda Palmer.

Corporate America “What the peasants don’t know won’t hurt our bottom line.”

George Carlin says, “People are fucking stupid.”

Make stupid great again!

I pay $X per gallon every single time I put gas in my vehicle. Gasoline is effectively barcoded. It’s a very fine calculation based on a couple decimal points of accuracy.

That kind of half-assed inventory approach would have made my warehouse job a lot easier. “How much came in on those trucks today”? “Eh, some.” “And how much did we load on onto the outbound trucks?” “Dunno. A lot.” “Did the fulfilled orders have the right products?” “Something about balloons. Probably.

Eh, a big long pipeline acts more like a balloon than one might think. Shove a bunch of gunk into it at one end, and the walls expand. Cold snap comes, and they contract.
