We flew over the midwest a lot when I was a kid. My dad told me that the circles created by center pivot irrigation were called crop circles.

I had some odd fears as a child. Number one was big inflatable things. Once I got old enough to appreciate bounce houses, I was too big to go on them. I’m also VERY glad that the inflatable lawn ornament trend was not a thing when I was a kid, because every holiday would’ve been a big pile of ‘nope’.

One of the things I loathe most about the warm months is the way earthworms turn to jerky anyway when they dry up on walks after a rainstorm. Asking me to consider that as food—no, absolutely not, I’d try many odd foods but NOT THIS ONE.
