I just got a 2009 GX470 w/ 180k on it for $10k.

The LC is so damn sharp looking. Love how much styling carries over between that and the LFA as well.

How is this not manslaughter?

My buddy has one of these and compared to my 2010 WRX hatch it’s pretty sad. Both are loaded with leather, the Mazda of course has modern infotainment in the dash but other than that it felt like a step back. Low on power, but worse of all there is nearly no interior volume. I’m 6'2 and that was definitely max

A couple of real fine cars right there, I had a 2008 NA Legacy and even that was a pretty awesome car that punched way above it’s level.

Back then Subaru was still pretty pure. You could buy a Legacy or a Forester with the WRX engine and drivetrain in it. Legacy Spec-Bs were a thing. Truly, they were taking consumer cars and jamming more powerful engines in. Everything could be a rally car.

I was lucky enough to see a 6x6 Pinzgauer on the road in MA recently - such a cool rig.

I get 23-25 mpg in my 2010 WRX - 25 is pretty pathetic for a smaller and newer engine.

This is the one I have for my 2010 WRX: https://www.tbwperformance.com/2008-2010-subaru-wrx-sti-aluminum-engine-under-tray-skid-plate/

Do yourself a favor and buy a metal aftermarket engine tray/skid plate. I think I paid 175 for mine - the plastic OEM tray from Subaru was 130 or something. Sooo much easier to take off and will actually last for more than a couple years.

Hopefully that glare metric has some serious weight.

I dont know this Tony guy is but OP is right. Personally my student debt comes from paying for my classes/education. Not the living expenses that I incurred while doing that - which I had to work and pay for as I went.

The total width of the 2020 Supra is 73 in according to the specs. (about 3 in wider than the Toyobaru)

You notice the same thing in Subaru’s. For example, I can say I much prefer the smell of Rotella T5 to Mobil 1 High Mileage any day of the week.

I had to bend the bottom of my plate up a bit so that it doesn’t vibrate against the bumper and make my car sound like it’s got the worst heat shield rattle on record.

Even Crosstrek WRX would be phenomenal

I used to live a couple miles from the airport and even with the F-16's you would have to pause conversations till the noise passed. From what I understand the F-35's are way way louder.

I hear that big hammers work best.

The Turbo version of this thing was extremely underwhelming when you put it next to it’s competition. For the $22,600+ the turbo version would cost, it makes a lot more sense to spend an extra 4k on a WRX ($26,700 base) or GTI ($26,400 base). You’ll get a faster, better built, and more practical car.

Having been in detailing for years, I cant help but cringe seeing a screwdriver so close to the paint.
