I’ve been trying to reiterate your point for a week. It’s Demps’s prerogative to wait until spring for a trade, it’s HOW he went about it all that’s gross: By embarrassing an agent and another franchise using a player’s trade request as ammunition to do both.

The sad thing is all those reporters will eventually be fired. As the boss, he can wait them out and lay them off the next time there’s some loose justification.

Girl, you must be tampering because you have  “fine” written all over you.

Like this one, parts of which read like a Pelicans official wrote it:

There it is. The fake news argument.

Look, man. They reprimanded their player for asking out; then they used the situation to embarrass another team.

I’m using Chris’ terminology. It’s not really tampering; however, it’s some petty trolling shit. Yeah, it’s funny, but you can’t run a successful front office with a strategy ofLOL, you made bro.

After all the stink with getting Davis fined for self-tampering and then spite-tampering the Lakers, if Demps and NO tried to pull Davis out, Silver would be ready to send their act to Seattle tomorrow.

The only condolences are that this season is ultimately a wash anyway as GS will win another one and the Lakers will be chasing free agents in the offseason, like everone else. I guess they’re hoping they can get Boogie, Kawhi, Thompson, or some combo of those three in free agency, but that feels like a tenuous hope

The second round and on is going to legitimately great to watch this year should all the current top seeds sans Portland hold. Shit even Portland instead of Houston might be great.

It will never happen but it would be extremely cool if the Angels signed him.

This might be what you’re thinking of:

And what about Dell Demps? Assuming he doesn’t have some lifetime appointment as Pelicans GM, I mean, he wants a job after this one, right?

Right. And Dell Demps I assume wants a job associated with the NBA after he’s fired as GM, right? Like, this makes him look petty AF.

Ha! I guess you can’t burn down a dirt lot.

I mean, this is still a bad look, right? Sure it embarrasses the Lakers, but like, I don’t think players and agents hate the Lakers the way fans and some front offices do. What top flight free agent would want to play for this front office knowing they pull this vindictive shit?

Yes, because the Patriots would have had to come up with a more intricate defense than one used by junior flag football teams.

It was just poor negotiating tactics.

I’m not sure he’d be much in terms of an asset. Fair or not, he would have sat behind Lebron, Kuzma, and Ingram, and possibly even Stephenson.

Yeah, this one’s on Magic. He should have offered Ingram, Kuzma, two picks, and that’s it, then sit and wait for a counter offer. You can reason with one or two guys about being trade bait but not the whole damn team.
