I love your blue shoes - the feathers are fabulous, and I don't think they're absurd!

I went for sparkly sandals with no heels. (Well, about 1/2" wedge.) Comfy and fun and wonderful, and about $50.

Hope it helps! Has made a big difference with my nasty MI tap water :)

Maybe making the layers too thick? If you don't let them dry 100% between layers, they can kind of hover in an infuriating dry-outside-wet-inside limbo in which they will convince you they are Ready, and then go ahead and smudgewrinkle like gangbusters as soon as you think you're safe.

Did you get the demineralization filter for the Crane?

I love these - have owned penguin, cow, bear, and dragon - but have found they have only about a 2 year max life span (assuming 24/7 use during the winter) before the little discs inside get corroded. Also, they are hard to keep clean of the dreaded red mold. The filter insert works a bit for hard water, but not 100%.

I have a Crane cow and used a piece of duct tape over the green light - works like a champ!

My advice, for dress shopping as well as all other wedding-related things: surround yourself with chill peeps. Only chill peeps allowed. They will be chill, it will be a lot easier for you to be chill, you will chill with each other, and everyone will have fun.

Whatever, dude. I spent $2k, paid for it myself, and LOVE it. It is gorgeous, and was ethically made in the United States - fair wages, no sweatshops. I looked amazing at the wedding and am planning to get it altered into something I can wear for other occasions.

How do the prices compare? In the US, I feel like paying $1.50 for a Coke (or whatever they're charging now) is a huge ripoff. Are the prices set lower in Japan?

No doubt similar amounts of shocking and disgusting material as well. (And I say this as a huge GRRM fan!)

OMG, if I did that, my husband would die of embarrassment and, if resuscitated, never make eye contact with me again! Good for your partner for not being afraid to "let it all hang out" ;)

You might enjoy reading this book - http://www.amazon.com/Whistling-Viva… - talks about a lot of the issues you bring up, and the title comes from that same "I was listening to Sinatra!" phenomenon.

Troll attempt 2/10. Not inflammatory enough. Better luck next time?

I kind of agree, but I think that legal sense is very important when you are talking about financial issues. There are financial ramifications to the act of marriage that do not exist for (most) long-term non-married relationships, and that's why I think it's okay if you want to keep mum beforehand but should lay it

I love the approach of having "separate" accounts with each other's names on it because if there's an emergency or, God forbid, one spouse dies, it's SO much easier to get what you need if your name is on the account. Also, you can more easily deposit checks that are made out to the dreaded "Joe and Sally Smith" as

I just don't agree with this at all. Yes, money can change things, but if that were going to happen wouldn't you want to find out before getting married? I just can't imagine a relationship that is rock-solid and destined for a great future being derailed by disclosure of inherited assets. Wouldn't you imagine the
