Fair point. I haven’t played much so I just looked through the character models, I didn’t realize he was only in the ships.
Reminder that the majority of microplastics out there aren’t from cutting boards or microwaving plastic bowls, they’re from tire dust. A recent study indicates 78% of microplastics in the ocean (which, true, isn’t going to necessarily match what is in your food, but it’s too high for none to end up in your food) are…
I gotta be honest, as I get older I get less and less interested in “hundreds of hours of content”. I’d rather play a game for 40 hours or so and then be done with it, able to move on to something else.
As I said to someone else, I’m only just finding out that the free trial doesn’t have a time limit. I may be willing to check it out with that (though my other problem is that I already have a lot of games I haven’t played that are designed as single-player games and I’d rather play through them first).
Interesting, I had no idea that there was a free trial without any time limit. I assumed it was a free month or something and I know I wouldn’t be able to handle much in a month.
Fair, but that’s just how much I don’t like MMOs and paying a monthly subscription.
Give me a no-subsciption version that only allows for single-player and then we’ll talk. I love Final Fantasy and I’ve heard good things about this but I’m just not interested in MMOs.
I recently got the PS4 Battlefront 2 because it was heavily on sale. I really enjoyed the classic Battlefronts, so I figured why not. Played some and it’s... fine? Definitely very pretty and it’s nice that it has content from the sequels (though not Finn with a lightsaber? no Poe at all?), but I feel like I might just…
People gotta quit thinking of him like he’s just another celebrity. The important parts here are that 1) he is the head of a company whose products you sell, 2) he has a massive amount of money and power, and 3) he’s not happy with what he’s been seeing. Maybe he had no ill will, but I also get why people in some…
Yeah, if you listen to the Mr Batty theme, it’s very clearly based on parts of the old Batman theme (and I know that’s not the only example). I personally think it would fall under parody/fair use but I could be wrong.
Clyde Mandelin (aka Tomato), the guy who did the fan translation and the hacks to get it to work, said from day one that he would shut down the entire effort at the first request from Nintendo, but they never did. To me, given how quickly Nintendo shuts down most hacks of their games, is tantamount to an endorsement.…
I have a friend who is a huge Earthbound fan. I’ve told him time and time again how good Mother 3 is, but he refuses to play it because doing so is technically illegal. I’ve even told him how I can give him pre-patched ROM, so he doesn’t have to go to any shady sites or worry about the patching process - still no.…
I would love to hear their reasoning for still not localizing the game. Is it the music rights? Is it the Magypsies (either in name or appearance)? Is it the cost associated with localizing this and/or the expected reactions if they don’t use Clyde Mandelin’s fan-translated script (or the different reactions if they…
Sure, he has a legal right. I’m not saying they should kick him out or get him arrested for trespassing or whatever, I’m saying that what, to him, is “let’s make a video about me going to Walmart and figuring out why the candy bars aren’t being sold” is, to the store management and employees, “someone very rich and…
I don’t think anyone would be complaining if this had been “Bill, Vendor at Mr Beast, Inc” coming down to help with candy bar stocking. I get that, you’re right that they’re there not just to help their products but to help employees. But when the near-billionaire CEO with ungodly internet power personally comes down…
Imagine you’re the manager of one of these stores and one of your employees comes to you for help - “sir, Mr Beast is here, he wants to know why we don’t have any of his candy bars on the shelves”. Mr who?? As if you can be expected to remember the head of every brand your store carries. Have you met this man? Wait,…
If they do in fact taste different, I might be interested in something milder. Sue me but I think blue cheese is too intense for almost anything I’m eating, but I don’t hate what it’s going for in theory.
Pretty sure we had purple tomatoes decades ago, how else would we have purple ketchup???
