In real life, no, but the PDNY is notably more progressive and less murder-y than real police.

Much love to the trans community but this ain’t it.

Exactly, like Miles and Gwen clearly have feelings for each other but a love triangle would have cheapened the whole thing. Gwen isn’t a prize for Miles to win from Hobie (or anyone else) and the movie knows that.

Yeah, if I hadn’t already known about Hobie from the comics I would have been a lot more confused.

I’m partial to Summer Loving and the drive thru scam

No way Nintendo’s going to re-release two classic Zelda games while Tears of the Kingdom is still so hot, they gotta wait for it to cool off a little to keep the Zelda train running consistently.

I assume that (and Chrono Trigger) require Square-Enix to 1) sign-off and 2) get some of the profits. And given SE opted to release the Final Fantasy games in the form of the Pixel Remasters instead of allowing them on the NSO, maybe they have further plans for the other games as well.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking - I’m sure plenty of younger gamers love Stardew Valley but had no idea there was a game called Harvest Moon years earlier on the SNES.

Spider-Man has always been a popular Halloween costume choice for kids, but I am loving the idea of an 8 year old or whatever dressed up as Spider-Punk, instigating rebellion.

Right, like Miles is definitely jealous based on little things like “Hobie sounds cool” and “Gwen has spent the night at his place” but the combination that 1) Hobie is so darn cool and is genuinely on Miles’s side from the start and 2) Gwen’s home life is largely non-existent so she’s gotta spend the night somewhere

I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about the audio levels being low in some scenes (for me it was mostly the opening with Gwen and Hobie’s backstory), though his accent is going to make it hard for a lot in the US to understand him regardless.

Had an interesting problem a couple years ago - my home HVAC filters were getting so clogged in 3-4 weeks that the system was giving warning messages that we were at risk of the system overheating and otherwise getting damaged. Called a guy out and he noticed that there was a fine white powder over the entire filter.

I thought it was funny that when the Spider-Man from the game showed up, he was identified as “Insomniac Spider-Man”. Which is a great name for us in the real world, with knowledge that Insomniac Games made the Spider-Man games, but in-universe it just means he has sleeping problems?

Great for this kid, but given that Lord & Miller previously directed The Lego Movie, I immediately just assumed that they did it as kind of an homage to that.

Even non-motorized bikes are legally vehicles in most US states (don’t know about the rest of the world) and are supposed to be riden on the road alongside cars, so most drive thrus would probably serve them.

Discovered this when I was in college several years ago since, for the first time for me and my friends, we lived within walking distance of fast food restaurants. Walked to the nearby Wendy’s after the dining room had closed, ordered in the drive-thru, and then when we got to the window they refused to let us pay or

Then tell the restaurants to not serve them with the shell on.

I mentioned to other people, I don’t think it’s a “we don’t know how to move it without the box” situation, but rather an issue to prevent fraud since an LCD tv is a relatively easy thing for the client to claim was damaged in the move when it wasn’t. So that probably doesn’t apply to commercial movers or the more

I don’t know what to tell you. Whenever I’ve had shrimp, no matter how they’re prepared, there’s an additional texture in there that reminds me of bugs. I don’t know if it’s the shell or the exoskeleton (which is the shell, right?) or the veins or the legs or something else but it’s always there and it’s never a

I’m not preparing them at all, this is almost entirely from restaurants or other people cooking them the way they like them.
