I assume that (and Chrono Trigger) require Square-Enix to 1) sign-off and 2) get some of the profits. And given SE opted to release the Final Fantasy games in the form of the Pixel Remasters instead of allowing them on the NSO, maybe they have further plans for the other games as well.

I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about the audio levels being low in some scenes (for me it was mostly the opening with Gwen and Hobie’s backstory), though his accent is going to make it hard for a lot in the US to understand him regardless.
