I was reading AVC back when the infamous Dawes article was published and it still surprises and amuses me that Dawes are a real band…

Springsteen generally balances 'anything could happen' spontaneity, with crowd-pleasing hits really well. Like they'll play 'Born To Run' and follow it up with a studio outtake or B-side and so on.

And that guy never seems to understand how setlists are structured. Like, yes, obviously they are going their biggest hit, but it'll be towards the end of the set - just have some bloody patience.

I love Bruce Springsteen, but it's weird reading the forums where fans who have been into him and followed him for far longer than me seem to straight up hate him for playing certain songs regularly ('Waitin' On a Sunny Day', for instance…)

It seems this murderer

Ah, so I'm not the only annoyed that people think adding '-eth' to the end of every other word is writing in Middle English.

Or throwing his espadrille at Edward Norton.

I doubt even that makes such a tired (and sexist) trope watchable. Looks like Cranston is in DiNiro mode at the moment…

Pretty sure I saw J.D. Salinger in there as well so it looks like HSCWDTKDTKTLFO is back!

For some reason I imagine Lyle as being Glaswegian

I love the live version of 'Rusholme Ruffians' where they lead in to the song with a short cover of 'Marie's The Name': https://www.youtube.com/wat…

Well, one of my favourite Twitter accounts 'Guy in your MFA' I think was created by a woman.

Feels like ol' Thom is fishing for compliments.

Do you have Aldi (or Lidl) in the US? They're fab.

Sharper-eyed folks have pointed out that there are Tyrell and Martell ships in the armada, so I think it's implied to be some time on.

"There's too much caffeine in your bloodstream and a lack of real spice in your life."

HA! That may be the worst argument for leaving I've heard so far.

I'm a raging lefty, but I do hate the speed at which some on the left will resort to classist rhetoric when discussing opposition.

"Bregrets, I have a few.
But then again, too few to brention."

I wouldn't say working class necessarily, but yeah Oliver's accent is by no means posh and elite.
